Belly Dancing

so i did a belly dancing workout today. it was a video that i found on youtube.

i had a great time doing it. i prefer dancing cardio workout vs. boot camp workout because with a dancing workout i feel like i'm working towards something. usually at the end of the dance workout you do a routine and i really like that.

have you ever done a belly dancing workout? if so, how do u like it?

    Can men belly dance? I actually got alot of belly. Just kidding. emoticon I recently saw a belly dancer in Florida during a visit to Disney. There is no way that is not a great exercise. Benny

Derailment of Cardio... 4 now!

Yesterday, my body sabotaged me! i had it all planned out, i was gonna do my cardio and my strength training. but unfortunately, i was not feeling well. :( my body was aching & it seemed like everything i ate, i was eventually was gonna throw up. *sigh* i dont know why this was happening or what may have caused it.

but all is well now. :) i plan on probably cutting down my cardio to 2 days this week instead of 3 since I'll be busy with other things in the next few days. But i'm still gonna do my strength training as well.

So this week I started my exercise plan. I do two days of strength exercise but never got around to doing cardio. :/ the day after I did my first strength training workout, I was very sore. lol. but when I did the strength exercises again this week, I didnt stop as much & I was able to get through the exercises faster.

so my goals for this week is to A. continue to do strength exercises B. do 2-3 days of cardio & C. continue to drink more water

  


Cardio Workout Ideas? Help!

i'm looking for some different cardio workout ideas that I could do at home because I don't have any workout DVD's right now. so whether it be some different cardio workouts online or something else, feedback would be greatly appreciated. I'm open to all suggestions.

    Check out the videos that Coach Nicole has here on Spark. there are some kickboxing-style workouts in there, 10 minutes each, that are really fun.

You could also pick 6 exercises that involve little or no equipment, write them down in a circuit, then perform the circuit three times with little-to-no-rest in between exercises. For example: Jumping Jacks, then push-ups (or modified push-ups), then squats, then jumping jacks again, then lunges with a broomstick held over your head. Stop and rest 90 seconds, repeat the circuit.

There are videos on YouTube you can do as well.

i really want to be successful for my weight loss goal. i'm tired of starting & stopping again. it gets frustrating once you have done it enough times. this time around, i believe that i will figure out what i'm doing wrong and learn from my mistakes.
