After a few attmpts at Weight Watchers - lost a few. but have gained a few pounds from vacation. Loved every minute of vacation but hating the week after. My jeans don't fit the same. Shirts are tight. It sucks!

So I'm back here. Sparkpeople is pretty much free. So here I go again.....

Few goals:

1. Drink more water!!
2. Eat more veggies and fruits
3. Take your vitamins! :)

I'll add more as I accomplish these into routines!

    Welcome back to SPARK!

I hear you. Vacations are a whole lot of fun, but food is such a temptation, and we don't have a whole lot of control over what we eat, what with all the restaurant meals. Well, we keep doing our best. That's all we CAN do! You'll get back on track.

I promise....

Sunday, April 15, 2012

I promise to set goals for us. Make them small that will have a BIG impact. So here they are for this week. Taking each one day by day and hour by hour.
1. Eat better. - taking my lunch and only putting in good stuff. It may take a few days to get the "sugar" craving to subside, but just be patient with me. Try not to make it too hard.
2. Workout more. This involves putting my gym bag in the car. Then what excuse do I have after work?
3. Drink more Water. It won't harm you. I promise. It's not that bad. Soda does nothing for you but make you feel bad. Water makes you feel much better. Less bloating. :)

These are good goals. If you do find you can't be perfect, be appreciative of all you have done so far, then keep right on going.

These are pretty good promises. I did this when I started back working out and it has kept me on track so far. Just stick with it, you will get there. Mine involved taking 30 minutes each day for me just to workout and here I am 21 days later still doing it. You can do this. emoticon emoticon

Dear Aching Body...

Wednesday, April 04, 2012

I know today was a rough day, but please forgive me. It will get better. I know that today was our first day back in the gym for several weeks. Between changing jobs and figuring out times we could get in took a few weeks. Plus with the new job you are now sitting all day long, so it was necessary. Please don't freak out and spasm every muscle we worked tonight. I will try to feed you good food as long as you don't freak out. It will get better the more we do it. I promise this. I will try to push you soon as we start to train for the 5k in July, but it will be okay. :)

The warm bath seemed to help and I will try to make things less painful as I can without resorting to pain meds. So bear with me as I work to make us a bit smaller, but healthier and much happier.

Thank you,

Me

Taking time to stretch afterwards helps a lot with being less sore the next day. Sometimes I will take an noninflammatory drug like ibuprofen to help relieve the muscle too. Congrats on getting back to the gym and good luck with your 5k! emoticon
