Day 47. Thrilled!

I am super excited because I am officially a stay at home mommy now! My maternity leave was suppossed to end on Dec 1st. I couldn't find a childcare arrangement that I was comfortable with so I chose not to return to work. The best part is.. my boss put me on extended maternity leave. Basically, I am on maternity leave for as long as I want to be. When I am ready to go back to work, provided they have an opening (which is pretty likely because they are growing daily and constantly needing new employees), I can have my job back. Its a win-win. I am just really happy to get to stay home with my son and give him the lovin's that he deserves!

It has definitely done something for my stress level too. I am calmer, happier, and less stressed than ever before. I am sure the exercise is also helping with that. Even my husband notices the difference. He is glad I am staying home as well, he didn't really want me to go back to work anyway. Daycares make him nervous.

Life is going so great...I couldn't be happier!

First of all: HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! emoticon
I have so much to be thankful for: a loving husband, a beautiful baby boy, family, friends, good health, a roof over my head, and soo much more! Days like today, spent with family, just remind you how great life is and how lucky we are.

I managed to stay within my calorie goal today. Hurray! I kept my portions small, ate slow, and drank lots of water. I felt full, but not stuffed. We had lunch at my grandma's and dinner with my in-laws. As soon as we got home, I jumped on the treadmill. It felt good to get a workout in!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving...spent with the people that matter most in your lives! Never take any of that for granted!!

Day 44.

I have spent most of the evening preparing goodies for turkey day. Hubby and I always do a small dinner the night before for just the two of us (except now there are 3 of us!!!) I make chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, rolls, and my hubby's FAVORITE dessert...Nutter Butter Peanut Butter Pie. Its very yummy but almost too sweet for me. I can never eat more than 1 small slice from the whole thing. Well back to the kitchen to start making the homemade noodles!!

Day 43: Weigh In Day

Today was weigh in day...and I am down 4 more lbs!!
I lost .5 inches on my waist and 1 inch off my thighs! First time I have lost any inches off of these thunder thighs haha. I was very shocked to see such a decent number after the slip ups on my diet last week. I am now 5 lbs away from the halfway point of my goal weight! 15 lbs lost with SPARK! emoticon

    That is so awesome, your doing so well! I however have a had a couple bad days and I am sick so no exercising = (. I wont let it bother me too bad though, I am still headed towards my goal no matter what. I am sticking with spark for good this time! emoticon

Day 42.

My hubby and I took our little guy to the Children's Museum today. My work made a huge donation to the facility when they were building and every employee got a free 5 year membership. My sister works with me, so she received one too, and her and her fiance and my niece came today too. It was fun to get out of the house for a bit and play like kids. Afterwards, we went to Applebee's for dinner. I was determined to be a good eater. I love that they have the meals that are under 550 calories. I tried the Asiago Peppercorn Steak meal. It's a 7oz steak that came with garlic roasted potatoes and steamed broccoli. Oh my goodness. IT WAS DELICIOUS. The flavors were amazing. The entire meal-- only 390 calories! And, it definitely fills you up..in a good way. I just couldn't get over how good it was and how low in calories it was. I almost tried the Sizzling Chicken with Spicy Queso Blanco-- it was only 550 calories, but you didn't get sides with it. Next time I go, I may try it. But I am totally hooked on that Asiago Peppercorn Steak. I definitely reccommend it to anyone who frequents that restaurant!

    I have had that the past three times we have gone to applebees. it is really good and I do not feel guilty eating it.

    I've never tried Applebee's under 550 Cal meals. Next time I go, I will definitely check it out!
