well on friday one of my customers was very upset thinking she almost hit a rabbit then realized it was a kitty. she said its tiny..it has no tail. and it runs like a rabbit.
she looks out the window says THERE!! there it is!! sure enough..a small grey kitty. walking up the middle of the road. i tried to get it but when it saw me it took off. still in the middle of the road, one of the few vehicles that drives by every day had to go to a crawl while it made its sweet time up to the next driveway. i figured it was their cat.
Saturday Kevin is outside..comes in says hey that cat is huddled into the corner of the house. he took it out a can of food, which it ate like there was no tomorrow. he picked it up and looked at me,,,,(who's last words to him were NO MORE ANIMALS) and i said give her to me...we brought her in and i took one whiff and took her straight to the tub. she STUNK!!! so after a warm bath (it was 5 degrees below zero..Fahrenhite not canadian celcius) and she was froze. after giving her a coconut shampoo scrub i noticed a couple fleas floating. drained the tub, gave her a flea bath. she didnt move. she didnt scratch. she didnt cry.
rinsed her off wrapped her in a towel where she snuggled in and slept on my chest for 2 hours. we fed her and petted her and realized she is at least partially deaf. no tail. front leg broken. healed but never got set. oh, and shes not grey. shes white. yeah she was that dirty.
she settled in like she was born here. shes sweet and kind and quiet...will stare into your eyes forever with her motor running at high decibels. if you put her down she stays where you put her. she knows about kitty pans, i cant leave the room without her following at my heels like a puppy dog.
i guess theres another animal despite my saying enough is enough...but i think she is going to be a great friend!!
Here she is..the day after we brought her in.
