Need to get back on the bandwagon!

Ok, so since I have started my new job, I haven't been able to stick to my diet and exercise plans as much as I would like. If we have time to eat lunch it is usually at a resturant or eating at a fast food resturant which I have been pretty good for sticking to the healthier options but it isn't that easy. I have not had enough time in the evenings or mornings to do much in the way of my strength training, but the upside is at work I am doing a lot of walking around so that takes care of my cardio most days. I am hoping that once I get a little more settled in I can get into a better and healthier routine. I was impressed today however when I got on the treadmill and was able to jogging and walking intervals for 40 minutes! I couldn't do 10 minutes before I started sparks. I really need someone to kick me in the butt to get back on track.

New job is not going to cooperate with my diet

Well I started my new job today and I think after the first day which is usually the slowest day I will have a very hard time sticking to my diet plan :( I worked from 8am-5pm with just enough time to scarf down an apple and an orange until I got home at 6:30pm when I was FAMISHED!!! I was good however and didn't completely pig out on my supper and I am still under my calorie limit. I am trying to figure out a way where I can keep my calorie intake fairly steady through the day. From the look of things too if we do stop for lunch it will be at a fast food resturant where we scoff down something else before heading out again.
On the upside I will be walking aloooot during work so I should be good for my cardio. Today I calculated that I walked for 2 complete hours in total!

Well I have to admit, I thought that when I started Sparkspeople I would try hard to lose weight, give up eating certain items altogether, and not see any significant results. Was I wrong! I wore a shirt today that I have not been able to fit into comfortably for probably 9 months! and I noticed my face, neck, and waist are slimmer.

I took a couple of pictures of myself today in the same spot and the camera the same distance from me as I had from before pictures and I can tell I have lost weight. I AM PUMPED!!! emoticon and I have only been on sparks for 1 week!!! I am looking forward to the next month!!

A little stressed....

Ok, so I have done extremely well this past week and managed to work out over 1000 minutes of cardio plus strength excercises 5 times out of the week. I am feeling more energetic and each day I end up doing more of the cardio or strength exercises because I want to and I am enjoying it. CRAZY! I am a little worried about how this week will go however.

This week is the end of my university career and I have to write two final exams tomorrow that I have not been able to study nearly enough for because of my work load. I have been working two jobs this term while going to school and managed to do fairly well until my sister, who was supposed to be a partner in sewing insect tents/cages for an agricultural firm, backed out on me!!!!!!! I am supposed to have 20 tents completely finished for Wednesday this week and I have 8 done. Each tent takes 7.5 hrs to complete!! STRESSED!!!

Along with that, I start a full time temporary job in a different city on FRIDAY that I have no idea where the main office is located because the interview was over the phone, and I have to pack! At least not too much because I will be living with my parents again for the duration of this temporary term, which actually stresses me out MORE!!! ARGGGG!!! OK I have I guess I need to study, and then sew cages, maybe sleep if I am lucky.


Stupid Pizza

Ok so this is my sixth day with sparks. I have done really well up until today when my sister took me out to lunch and my friends came over tonight and brought pizza with them.

I could have done a lot worse for lunch, I had rotisserie chicken with a baked potato with butter on the side. What bummed me out was the vegetables that it said it came with. The vegetables was one small spear of broccoli ! Just one! it didn't even take up a quarter of my plate! grrr...

The pizza tonight with friends is what really did me in...instead of having the one piece I was planning on having, nooooo instead I had 3 slices!! and breadsticks on top!! "moan" What a horrible way to end a day. I even spent 30 minutes of hard cardio tonight but I doubt that will do much for me. I just hope I can keep on track for a full week this time. I vow this time no more pizza for at least 1-2 months for me.

    You can have pizza. Just make it an all veggie pizza. I get a pizza once in a great while. I order it from Pizza King which is always thin crust. I get a small for myself. I order double mushrooms, onion, green peppers with no cheese. They also use very little sauce on their pizzas so..... Moderation. You are doing great if that was your only slip. Keep up the good work and don't be so hard on yourself. Make your friends help you stick to it.

You can do this! MODERATION! I had french fries last night, the first time in 2 years. I'm not kicking myself today.
