Tracking food

Monday, May 17, 2010

Ok, I have been foolish long enough. I kept telling myself 'I'm not eating much'. Well today I start with the dreaded logging of food. My food journal will be on line and since I am always on line what's the problem. The problem is I don't like keeping a journal. But I need to add this to my regimen along with my newfound exercise routine (thank you curves)!

Why is it the little things that always get us so bogged down?

Have a great day!

That's the #1 key to success in my opinion. I'm under my goal weight and I still log. It is a habit worth forming. 85% of this battle is what you put in your mouth.

It is because we are scared of the little things. Logging your food is a great thing. It was a real eye opener when I started weighing my food every meal. Some meals I was eating over 2 pounds of food!!!

Keeping up with Curves

Wednesday, April 28, 2010

I have not usually been able to keep up with an exercise routine. But I think Curves is the answer for me. First, my usual excuse of it is so far away doens't apply (it is on the way home). Second, I don't feel intimidated by the others who are exercising. It is such a great atomosphere and lastly, I am getting constant encouragement. What more could a person ask for.

I am trying to do the 3 times a week minimum but will try to get in as much as I can because it feels good too. Hopefully, I will begin to feel results but so far so good.

Curves starting up again

Thursday, April 22, 2010

I joined Curves 2 weeks ago; however, after my first workout I injured my back and had to rest until it healed. Well, yesterday, I went back (yeah for me) and did the workout again. I felt fine afterwards and am looking forward to another workout tonight. I am hoping that since Curves is on my way home from work that I will be able to stick to the routine and see results. I just wish I did want instant results; but I am going to try my best to do this for my new lifestyle.....

Positive decision

Wednesday, March 31, 2010

Yesterday, I acted on a decision that I had made. I stopped at Curves, less than a mile from home, and signed up. Today I am going to get my first assessment. I have waited long enough for the magic to happen. I am responsible, I have to do it. This is going to be part of my weekly plan. Go three times a week at a minimum.

Rainy day and Friday

Friday, December 18, 2009

Even the rain can't depress me today. Today is my last working day of this calendar year. I get to spend the holidays with my family. My parents are flying in and I can't wait to see them.

My teenage boys will probably vacate the house but it still is a joyful time of year.

I haven't gone wild with my eating and I will start tracking my food, realistically, once my parents leave. But I am going to try not to do any binge eating. I already have meals planned for the first few days. This is a big step for me.

Thanks for all the encouragement. I need it....have a blessed day. Nancy

It has been raining here today also. I couldn't get out to take my walk so I put the music on and did so like dancing. I believe I worked a little harder dancing, but it was fun.
Blessings to you and your family emoticon

Holiday greetings, hopes for rest, and blessing go out to you. You can give your parents a holiday gift of healthy eating and living by teaching them what has worked for you. Be Blessed!
