I spent some time reading through this last week - seems very detailed.

I loved the chart about calorie sources (chapter 2). Makes me want to do my own numbers for a month! (For example, one rough estimate for me is that #s 1, 10, and 18 - the three "sweets/desserts" categories - would be a total of about 600 per month, or 20 cal per day. Vs 250 a day for the average American adult.)

Here you can see the questionnaire they used to create this chart:

6 Month Consistency Goal: 2 month Update

Monday, November 29, 2010

wheew! deep breath! blow out! begin typing blog!

Ok so of all the years that I've been dieting, losing weight and gaining weight I've never been consistent no more than 4 months! True story!

1st major diet Atkins lost 50lbs in 4months (2004)

2nd major diet Weight Watchers lost about 30lbs in 3 to 4 months (2009)

Now I'm here on my own no diet just things that I've learned over the years of dieting.

My goal of all goals is to stay consistent in tracking my weight. I dont care if I'm watching what I eat, exercising or not, gaining, or losing weight, etc I want to stay aware and consistent with weighing myself for 6months straight.

I pray that this bring a new change in my life as far as patients and eventually permanent weight loss. Please keep me in your prayers for I am no super hero, animation, or actor. I'am me, Key, a human being that has been through more things in my 24yrs on this earth than maybe a 50yr old woman has and I too fall weak and give up on life's battles easily at times.

After this 6month consistency goal that I'm hoping to accomplish I want to reach for a 12 month consistency goal. So I'm starting small. This is a rule written in stone "start with small changes"! So 6months is small but the ultimate goal is 12months.

I will bring you along with me through my 6months with monthly updates, journals, and weigh-ins.

Thanks for reading!! Wish me luck.
