Standing in the shower this morning (after my workout) at 6:50am.. thinking to myself,
"Gosh, I'd really like to get creamy body wash, some flip-flops for the shower and a gym bag to carry all my stuff for workouts".
That is NOT ME!
So, I'm a little bit proud. I'd have to go back and look and see how long I've been getting up at the butt crack of dawn since to work out but I've got to be on ? week 2? or 3? Not bad. I mean, come on.. I only had access to the place since 12/13!
Day 1 of the Biggest Loser is done. I did my workout, I didn't count calories but stayed in normal range. Very sure on that. Even with the paw of Dorritos that I stuck inmy mouth before I realized they were in there! Yes, we've all been there. I think a lot of mine happens when I'm on the phone. I don't even consciously realize that I'm eating!
My dad called last night and invited me to take part in the family Biggest Loser challenge starting next week. I said yes, of course. it's nice that it overlaps this BLC15 challenge on here.. didn't tell him that but I'm sure a sister will! Anyway, I'm totally going to drive myself nuts because he is thinking weigh-ins will be Mondays, and the BLC15 weigh-ins are Wednesday so I will torment myself 2 times per week. On a side note: the Monday weigh-in may kick in the feeling of "last-chance" workout and I find myself kicking it into high gear for the Wednesday weigh in?? Perhaps.
I've been talking a lot about work lately and I want to keep it positve so I'll try not to mention it again!
I'm getting excited for my 'lil roadtrip out to Wausau, WI the weekend of the 15th. I get to visit and stay with a friend's mom. She and I will hit the thrift shops, all the wonderful restaurants, and also get a few brisk walks in :) I'm looking forward to it... hope the weather is nice for the drive.
For shopping, I can't remember if I mentioned this but I am not going to buy any more dress pants even thoguh I desperately need them.. I'm goign to try and get by on my ? 18's? until I hit 16's as I know that I have some size 16's that will be ok for work. I wore a pair of 16's today that were tight but I faked it. So anyway, no more pants. I DO still need to get new shoes, bras, underwear, tights, etc.... all those things that are so easily forgotten when shopping. And I could use my hair cut but my appointment isn't until the 25th? I feel like I'm already so scruffy?!
My stress balls in my shoulders (knots) already have stress balls themselves so it is time that I go in for my once-a-decade massage. I take that back. I had one 8 yrs ago on vacation to Door County, WI.

Because the BLC15 starts this coming week, I'm going to need to think of my plan of attack so please, suggestions/comments are VERY welcome.
WHAT: working out on elliptical, 500 calories per time
WHERE: work gym
WHEN: Before work (6am) on days that I'm in the office.
WHAT: Dance night
WHERE: At home, or out on the town
WHEN: e/o week
WHERE: At home
I have two unwatched DVD's. One for Zumba and the Jillian Michaels Banish Fat Burn Metabolism
Not sure how to attack the nutrition portion.
A) Use tracker to count calories?
B) Use Geneen Roth or Weigh Down Workshop to use a non-counting, mindful eating approach

I received my Biggest Loser Challenge (BLC) team assignment last night..
Hence the page color change and new Image..
I'm on a team called the Rose Ranger Regiment..
I've been "recruited" into the 12wk bootcamp and they are going to whip us into shape.
I also signed up for the elective "Streak Train".. whereby I stay on the virtual train by hitting my streak ( challenge is 20 minutes minimum of dedicated exercise for 6days per week). Not sure if I bit off more than I can chew on that.. but if I fall off, it's ok. Right now, my goal is to hit it hard and do my 6am workouts.
The challenge start Jan 5th, to coincide with The Biggest Loser show on television.. I haven't watched that in many seasons since it doesn't motivate me.. and I feel like I'm wasting 2 hours watching it!

Got up, in slow motion, today to drive to work/workout.
Set off my vehicle alarm in the garage (poor townhouse neighbors).
Distractedly drove to my WORK, not to my friends work building where I've been working out with her.
Couldn't get the token right in the locker, Took me 5 trys to pull out what I need/shut/lock the locker.
Forgot my badge, had to go back to locker room,
Forgot my towel so after 100 calories had to get one for the sweat.
Just wasn't doing so hot on the elliptical today.. felt tired and not really pumped on it.
That feeling is carrying through.
Was hoping my workout buddy was there but she wasn't there in time to encourage me. I totally could have used the extra motivation today. I slugged through the 400 calorie burn.
Next week, I need to do 500 each time, minimum, if time allows and also start watching the food. BLC15 starts and I'm in the challenge. Thankfully I did not start the challenge this week. I am up ?2 pounds ? from Tuesday. weird.
Grabbed the wrong end of the baggie holding my loose oats for oatmeal breakfast. Now it looks like confetti in my car!
Breakfast was two chocolate drizzled pretzel sticks because I'm too lazy to make the remaining oatmeal packets.
Speaking of oatmeal. A friend did a marathon and one of the sponsors, I think, was Better Oats Co. (www.betteroats.com) Anyway, I grabbed a box of the oatmeal- 5 pouches to a pack. I liked that, after ripping the top off of the package, you're to use the package AS the measuring cup. Nifty. I liked the oatmeal but BFF says it tastes too sugary. There's 11 grams in a serving. I really can't tell. Is that a lot? I don't know what the maximum RDA on sugar is
