For the next 40 days,I am taking up a challenge:
1.Give up sweet cravings
2.Eat at least 3 servings of fruits daily
3.Sleep 10pm daily
I have my cravings mostly at nights when I stay up late,so I plan to set an alarm for 9.30pm for my bed time.
I will also stock up on fruits and vegetables like Apple,Pineapple,Papayas,Watermelon,Mangos etc (they are so much in season here in Nigeria).
Spiritually,I plan to devout more time for my God by visiting the church daily and participating actively in the lenten programme of my local church.
Hoping to come out victorious

Today, I promise I will not quit.
I pledge that no matter how many ups and downs I pass through, I will continue on my journey.

Fellow sparkers,i didn't feel like doing this but i owe it to you and to my self to let you know i fell off the wagon.
I let the stress of this month weigh me down completely-
didnt exercise,i binged OMG . . . promised to work on it and the result I GAINED 10 pounds.
In Nigeria,its a bit stressful when the kids are entering the Secondary schools (don't know what you call it over there could it be high school) especially boarding schools and two of my kids went to 2 seperate boarding schools outside my state.
The preparations and my hectic office duties weighed me down.
I am hiding myself in SHAME,Please bear with me . . I hope this doesn't repeat itself again.

Officially,I am now in onederland (196) but i have not yet reached my goal weight.I need to get to 165 pounds to achieve a healthy BMI , i have to shed about 30 more pounds to be there.
I want to do it for me and make others believe that they too can do it. I am taking up a personal challenge from today 1st September 2013 to loose these 30 extra pounds by my 36th birthday by 14th February 2014.
It's almost a 6 month plan,need to loose a minimum of 5 pounds monthly to achieve my goal,It's going to be tasking but i am taking the bulls by the horns.
These are my WEIGHT LOSS GOALS:
Starting Weight 1st Sept : 196 pounds
Goal Weight: 165 pounds
Goal: lose 31 pounds (about 1.4 pounds WEEKLY)

* to stop binging especially at nights
* limit foods high in sugar and fats etc.
* stay within calorie range (1200-1550)
* participate actively in the 5% challenges within these months to be able to stay on track
* exercise more frequently and do at least 60 minutes of fitness activity six days in a week
* get at least 8 hours of sleep daily.
I know my main hurdle is my NUTRITION, I must be fully in control of what i take into my body.
I will be back at the end of each month for my progress report . . . SPARKERS, if you don't get to see my monthly UPDATE,PLEASE PLEASE DEMAND FOR IT.
