LACKING MOTIVATION?

This is the place you need to be,where you are very free to express your challenges via blogs,team threads etc.
You also get motivation by the weekly challenges,huddling with your team,reading team mates blogs.Here,you find people going through thesame struggles with you,people who have been there and out.

We all make tremendous progress here.
Personally,like I mentioned in my previous blogs;i am eating better,my fitness minutes has greatly increased and I have lost so much weight since I joined the 5% challenge.

I think you should give the summer 5% challenge a try,i am sure you will be hooked.

My 5% challenge journey

My journey with the 5% challenge has been splendid not without challenges though.
My major challenges are my sweet cravings and bingeing very late at nights especially when I am under a lot of stress and pressure.

Due to this pressure at work and in the family,I find it also very difficult to be very active with my spark team like I will want to but I do try to post my minutes and the LTGL points.

I have accomplished a lot in the 5% challenges like regular fitness plan,loosing a lot of weight and being able to track my food (watching portion sizes,reading labels etc) .

I am still improving on my feeding habits by trying to minimize junk foods and putting my cravings under control.

I love my team "WALKERS,RUNNERS,JOGGERS & GADGETERS" my team mates fitness minutes spur me to push myself .
Before I started participating in the challenges, I have never logged in 1000 minutes monthly but NOW when I go through my fellow team mates fitness minutes and see sparkers logging in about 2000 minutes monthly,I am motivated to do more and I manage to log in an average of 1500 minutes monthly.

I have not reached my goal weight but I believe I can do it!

Lifestyle changes

I started participating in the 5% challenges since 2012 and I have not skipped a challenge yet.

WHY ? I rather not because I have gained and developed healthier lifestyles while doing the LTGL challenges like nutrition tracking,portion control and staying within calorie limit,my sleep time,my water,fiber,sodium tracking,freggies accompanied with healthy snacks and limiting junk,focusing on my food during meal times etc the list is so long.

Then not forgetting tracking my fitness ,which is a "must do" 6 days a week.

Doing all these in order to help my team has equally changed my lifestyle for the better.
It has made me lose about 18 kilos,
Great self esteem or confidence and
I also look very much younger and healthier

Seriously,the challenges help me to be on track. SPARK TEAMS are so much fun to also reach out to other sparklers. emoticon

2nd Sparkversary

Tomorrow the 12th is my second sparkversary. . . This is my little journey in photos,not much just took baby steps and I watched my body change. Not yet at my goal weight,lost 20 kilos I am still aiming at attaining my goal weight of 75 kilos

.

LENTEN GOALS/CHALLENGE

For the next 40 days,I am taking up a challenge:

1.Give up sweet cravings
2.Eat at least 3 servings of fruits daily
3.Sleep 10pm daily

I have my cravings mostly at nights when I stay up late,so I plan to set an alarm for 9.30pm for my bed time.

I will also stock up on fruits and vegetables like Apple,Pineapple,Papayas,Watermelon,Mangos etc (they are so much in season here in Nigeria).

Spiritually,I plan to devout more time for my God by visiting the church daily and participating actively in the lenten programme of my local church.
