I will persevere. I am not happy with my lack of loss, but I have signed up for the New You Boot Camp videos.

  


Almost 9 weeks

Having started this journey toward a healthier me almost 9 weeks ago, I find myself both looking back and looking forward. The past 8 weeks have been filled with new experiences- trying new foods, new exercises, making new friends. I am definately feeling better-physically, emotionally and mentally. I'm taking time to take care of myself. Parts of this new lifestyle are easy and enjoyable- eating better, walking, even exercising. I have struggled with not losing pounds- my once a week weigh in can send me into a meltdown. Thank goodness for my tape measure showing results, and thank goodness for my 2 (daily) sparkbuddies. As for looking forward, taking time for reflection over the past 2 months has started me towards another journey regarding work. I am feeling more as though I can do anything I put my mind to, and not as though I need to be a reflection of how other people in my life see me. About time, I say!

I 'm glad I found SP. I'm eating healthier, definately getting ALOT more exercise, and feeling mentally better as well. It took a couple of days on SP, but now have found at least one good online buddy that's really helping me with motivation. Also, through spreading the word around, have 2 friends that have joined. I've discovered that I am more out of shape than I thought, do have some emotional eating habits, and have admitted that the scales in the Dr. office were not "over by 10 lbs". My jeans already fit slightly better!

  I read a fantastic post the other day on the message boards..I am going to try and send it to you.......it is sooo motivational..I think you will find it so as well. It has also convinced me (almost) to put away the scale....mine hasn't budged at all in a month and a half..literally not a pound and I was ready to say...forget it....what's the point ...BUT I no longer feel that way...(plus I met you..aahhh) I am going to set new challenge....starting tomorrow I am putting scale away..I am going to keep eating well, keep exercising and I will not take the scale out until April 30th...I'd go longer but I don't trust myself to last!.......Also..a big Also....I am going to take my measurements tomorrow before I say good by to scale...the scale is not your friend....you are your best friend and of course all your spark buddies! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    Great news!! I base a lot more on how my clothes feel than what the scale reads. It does take awhile for SP and the whole diet and weight loss thing to feel comfortable. So, glad you're starting to see results!

I asked around at work, and found 2 more walking buddies. We did 1.3 miles on friday in 25 minutes--- WHEW!!!!! I let the youngest one do all the talking!

    It is much more fun to walk with someone else. So glad you found some buddies! My neighbor and I walk every day when we can get out. Now we are into doing 5K walk/run races. So fun!
