No One Belives Seniors!!! LOL

Sunday, September 05, 2010

An elderly couple was celebrating their sixtieth anniversary. The couple had married as childhood sweethearts and had moved back to their old neighborhood after they retired. Holding hands, they walked back to their old school. It was not locked, so they entered, and found the old desk they'd shared, where Andy had carved "I love you, Sally ."

On their way back home, a bag of money fell out of an armored car, practically landing at their feet. Sally quickly picked it up and, not sure what to do with it, they took it home. There, she counted the money-fifty thousand dollars! Andy said, "We've got to give it back." Sally said, "Finders keepers." She put the money back in the bag and hid it in their attic.

The next day, two police officers were canvassing the neighborhood looking for the money, and knocked on their door. "Pardon me, did either of you find a bag that fell out of an armored car yesterday?" Sally said, "No". Andy said, "She's lying. She hid it up in the attic. Sally said, "Don't believe him, he's getting senile"

The agents turned to Andy and began to question him. One said: "Tell us the story from the beginning." Andy said, "Well, when Sally and I were walking home from school yesterday ...." The first police officer turned to his partner and said, "We're outta here!"

I know just how he feels!!!! LOL

Saturday, September 04, 2010

A woman in a supermarket is following a grandfather and his badly behaved 3 year-old grandson.

It's obvious to her that he has his hands full with the child screamingfor sweets in the sweet aisle, biscuits in the biscuit aisle and forfruit, cereal and pop in the other aisles.

Meanwhile, grandfather is working his way around, saying in a controlled voice, "Easy, William, we won't be long. .. . Easy, boy."

Another outburst and she hears the grandfather calmly say, "its okay,William, just a couple more minutes and we'll be out of here. Hang in there, boy."

At the checkout, the little terror is throwing items out of the trolley, and grandfather says again in a controlled voice, "William, William, relax buddy, don't get upset. We'll be home in five minutes; stay cool, William."

Very impressed, the woman goes outside where the grandfather is loading his groceries and the boy into the car.

She said to the elderly gentleman, "It's none of my business, but youwere amazing in there. I don't know how you did it. That whole time, you kept your composure, and no matter how loud and disruptive he got, you just calmly kept saying things would be okay. William is very lucky to have you as his grandpa."

"Thanks, lady," said the grandfather, "but I'm William . .. . the little blighter's name is Kevin."

September goals

Friday, September 03, 2010

Well now my shoulder is fully back in action one goal is to get back to doing incline presses on the multi gym. I had a go this morning, brave me, and managed 2 reps of 8 at 17 pounds. Good effort- but want to push to getting 2x 15 @ 17 by the end of the month.

Other than that;
take on water throughout the day
eat good food- try something new each week
core workout x 3 a week
Multi gym x2 a week
dumb bells and ball workout x 2 a week

Set a date for a meal out with Jackie...really must catch up
