But we fancied a treat tonight. I cook from scratch most nights or pick something from the freezer previously batch cooked.
But it was his idea to go to the Plough, a local pub/restaurant and I wasn't about to say no.
The chef there is a Michelin star so the grub is always amazing and cooked to perfection.
Leek and Potato soup- they always say soup will help to fill you up and this one did. OMG it was orgasmic I have never tasted anything soup to match it!
Then duck breast in thyme sauce with salad, a selection of veg and new potatoes.
Beautiful, the duck just melted in my mouth and the veg were al dente so very nutritious.
And for dessert
Just room for some strawberry ice cream- which was rich with fresh strawberries in it and I couldn't finish it.
All washed down with some ice water and a Blueberry J2O.
It was the perfect end to a perfect day and I shall sleep the sleep of babes tonight.
And that's where I'm heading now
