I would say the title should be "What not to name your boat"/
I used to work for internal revenue and you would be amazed at the names some people have! And they have to carry that through life.
Maybe you can find one on towns with funny names.

Rottingdean was awesome!

Monday, July 11, 2011

We drove down with the radio tuned to a LBC talk channel and relaxed, had lunch at an open hotel www.oldenglishinns.co.uk/rottingdean
/

I had moked salmon and prawn salad and then laid out on the pebble beach on the towels I brought listening to the sea lapping and being warmed by the sun. BLISS.

I wanted to get an ice cream as we walked back to the car but the place was shut so when we stopped for a loo break on the journey back I sneaked into a shop and bought a berry mivvy (berry outer layer and ice cream centre) for me and a frozen orange juice for Pete. It really hit the spot.
Just got back in and had some toast and marmalade and some yogurt with fruit mixed in, still full from lunch but needed to make up the calorie quota, now watching our fav soaps.
A perfeck day emoticon

Rottingdean is famous for Kipling, my fav poet and poem IF

Sounds like you had a wonderful day out. I don't know Rottingdean. Haven't been to Brighton myself. It sounds lovely. I've stayed on Hayling Island and been to Portsmouth. Quite like that area.

CATHOLIC HEART ATTACK LOL

Sunday, July 10, 2011

A man suffered a serious heart attack while shopping in a store. The store clerks called 000 when they saw him collapse to the floor. The paramedics rushed the man to the nearest hospital where he had emergency open heart bypass surgery.

He awakened from the surgery to find himself in the care of nuns at the Catholic Hospital he was taken to. A nun was seated next to his bed holding a clip board loaded with several forms, and a pen. She asked him how he was going to pay for his treatment.

"Do you have health insurance?" she asked.

He replied in a raspy voice, "No health insurance."

The nun asked, "Do you have money in the bank?"

He replied, "No money in the bank."

"Do you have a relative who could help you with the payments?" asked the irritated nun.

He said, "I only have a spinster sister, and she is a nun."

The nun became agitated and announced loudly, "Nuns are not spinsters! Nuns are married to God."

The patient replied, "Perfect. Send the bill to my brother-in-law."
