WOW!!!! UP and DOWN....

Saturday, November 22, 2008

Okay well I just have to share this and I had to do it now... Yes on a weekend... This is how happy I was with this.

Got up in the morning, did my 50 JJ and 25 wall pushups, got dressed to go shopping.

Put on a pair of 18W stretch jeans... NICE... still have a slight muffin top from squeezing my butt into the smaller size, but hey I feel good. So I take out a shirt that is a medium, and put it on... IT FITS, tight but fits.

So I have to strut my stuff with this! I still have the muffin top, but I feel good about it.

So I do my shopping, drop some stuff off at the good will, they give 20% off coupons, so I go into shop also.

I was bad, yes I got a size 22W shirt :( But it is one of those chinese type shirts and it was big, but I though for 2 dollars and it was red for chirstmas. I am going to wear it for the holidays then get rid of it... So if anyone wants it let me know.

BUT GOOD HERE! I got a size 16 Pant suit set for only 8.50!!!! The jacket actually fit me!!!! it would not close around the mid section, but that was never my issue before, the arms fit! I could not believe it. ALSO I picked up a size 16 shirt to go along with it! I have not tried on the pants yet, I dont think they are going to fit, but still.

For now on, I only shop for smaller sizes. I will fit into them. I will feel good about it.

I did pick up a pair of black pants 18W but, I can not fit into the 16 yet, so I figured since I WILL NOT wear the 22W anymore, I needed a pair to replace them :)~

Does the happy dance!

Noticed it is getting easier...

Friday, November 21, 2008

I have noticed saying no to junk food gets easier. I swore I would never be able to turn down cookies, cake, or any sweets... at nights I have been saying no to cookies every night this week. I turned down cake on one occasion, grated I said yes on another, but I chose that. I did want it, I thought about it, and I worked extra hard that day.

I still have problems eating meals and when I am hungry snacking instead of eatting a meal. I need to work on that....

Any suggestions?

Good for you on turning down cookies. You are better then me. Why not try fruit and veggies for your snacks. Maybe that would help. Nancy

Trash or Keep

Wednesday, November 19, 2008

I posted this in the Done group, but I wanted it here also...

Okay gals and guys... I wanted to know when you get rid of clothes that fit, but are big... I have a pair of pants (22W). They fit in the waist, big but not fall off big, I can put them on and off without having to unbutton or unzip them...

This is the biggest pair of pants I own. I feel that I should get rid of them... but then again, they still fit... I can fit into certain 18W and I dont have a huge selection of pants to chose from... I hated buying bigger clothes, so I only really have about 4 pairs of pants right now that fit... Once I start getting to 14/16 I have tons of clothes...

What do you think? Would you Trash or Keep???

I just got rid of all my fat clothes. I've lost 54lbs so far and dropped 4 sizes so they were all falling off me, even after I altered them as much as I could. I had this dilemma as well but hubby asked if I EVER planned on getting back into them and I said HELL NO! So he said why keep them...better motivation after having to buy all new clothes. There is nothing to fall back on in case I DID slip for a long time. So mine are all packed up and donated to other women who needed them. I even shrunk out of my pjs, underwear and even needed a new pair of shoes for work! I have heard your feet actually shrink as well. So I say pitch them, it was therapeutic for me!!!!!! emoticon

I am getting rid of things as I go because I don't plan on getting back into them:) You could ebay them and get money for new ones. Or, there is a team here on SP that is a clothing exchange, you could post yours and look for new ones.

I think you hang onto them. If they are the biggest pants you own, then take a picture of them and leave it places where you might be finding a weak moment. In your car, at work, the fridge!, etc...Then when you're at goal weight, take one of those pictures we all want to take of you in your "fat jeans" and show the difference!
Have fun!

Good Girl.. I made a smart choice, I think :)

Wednesday, November 19, 2008

They had a cake yesterday for someone who is getting married... I was not in the office the time of the cake cutting, but of course had to go over and give well wishes... Of course go get some cake, it will not hurt you, go head, I heard it... Man I went into the frige, got a plate, got a fork, cut a normal size piece in half, got ready to put it on the plate... I stopped, dead stopped. I thought about it, I did not need it, I did want it (who turns down cake), but I did not want the extra calories from that... I did have a couple of samples from the american indian heritage celebration, but nothing like the cake I turned down!!!!

Good job! Realizing you "didn't want it" is a HUGE accomplishment!

Congratulations on the choice you made. It is so hard sometimes especially when people around you try to push this issue with, " its okay, one piece won't hurt". Way to go for doing what was right for you. You rock!!
