My Virtual Model Motivator

Tuesday, July 20, 2010

So when I was browsing through the Sparkpeople Secrets of Success, I found one that said to visualize your future self by creating a virtual model on www.mvm.com.

I first created one at the weight I am now ( 234 lbs):

Then I created one at my goal weight (187lbs):

I love how you can also see how clothes look on the models and how much better the goal weight model looks in them. Great motivator!

Lost 30 Lbs... have 60 to go...

Monday, July 19, 2010

The above picture was taken in September 2008, a few months after a very special person to me passed away. It was my stepfather and he was a big influence in my life and seeing him wither away to nothing and die was one of the most heartwrenching experiences I have ever had to go through. I also found out my father had throat cancer in 2007 and he had been going through treatment. I had moved to California in 2006 so during both of these trying times I was 3,000 miles away from my family who live in Pennsylvania. To deal with the stress and depression of this horrible bundle of chaos, I ate through my emotions and ballooned to 270 lbs!

This is me now at 235 lbs:

This is me at age 16 and the weight I'd like to get back to:
