Way to go on that weight loss!!! Thank you for commenting on my blog, Shake it up, baby. I weighed 265 pounds on Saturday when I bought the Nutri-bullet and have lost 8 lbs. as of today, Wednesday. I logged in my food and saw immediately why. The fruit does not have many calories in it and I use one smoothie for breakfast and lunch and then eat a normal meal (cooked) for supper.

I figure if I can get off of some of my pills, I take 13 a day, and lose the weight, that I will have money to buy the fruit and vegetables that I need. I don't work and my husband is off work after having a foot surgery. We are in our 60's. You are right, I am doing something positive for myself and I hope I will stick with it.

Since you have been building muscle - evident because you have been losing inches not pounds - I think you will find a very pleasant side effect kick in. When I did this years ago all of a sudden I started to lose a couple of pounds a week. Consistently. Keep up whatever you are doing in the exercise area because it is about to pay off big time.

emoticon I have been Sparking ever since I joined SP on January 23, 2008. A Co-worker told me about the site and I have not stopped sparking yet. emoticon I am learning so much on SP. A quote I read here on SP was..and I Quote, An education of a man never ends until he dies... What a true fact. I just read & read & read on how to get healthy and I take advantage of the many videos on all different kinds of exercise they have right here on SP. So much good helpful information on this site. It's unbelieveable how much is offered here for FREE. It is the best site I have seen as far as living a healthy lifestyle is concerned. I tell everyone who will listen about SP. If they take advantage of the opportunity to use it great, If not that's their lost. What else can I say. It is a lifestyle journey and it is for life. I pray SP stays around for a long time. Thanks for stopping by guys . Have a wonderful day. Your emoticon

I paid 17.95 a month for the 'privilege' at Weight Watchers, and it didn't have half the support that you get on here.

What is really happening?

Friday, January 21, 2011

Hi guys, What is really going on? I don't know what is happening. I am not losing any weight this year so far. I am doing everything as far as exercising 2 to 3 times a day. Mainly 2 x a day. Total 1 hr & 15 mins max of exercise. I am eating healthy. I'm really doing good in both aspects of exercising and eating. To no avail. No weight loss. It's a tricky month. At any rate, just wondering what's the deal. I thought maybe if I write it out, it will make me feel better. Thanks for listening guys. Have a good weekend.

Everyone gave you great advice -- and although it always seems odd to think a person could eat TOO LITTLE, that may be the case! Wouldn't that be wonderful to have to EAT MORE so you could LOSE MORE!

I have to agree with MPALMER15, you are consuming way too few calories, considering how much you are exercising as well.

I am currently taking a weight management consultant course, and I had to write an article about crash diets. I posted it as a blog on here. Please have a read of it.

We are both very concerned for your health if you continue eating so few calories. Unless you have been advised to do so by your doctor, you could end up doing yourself some serious damage.

MPALMER15 1/21/2011 3:40PM

After glancing at your tracker, I would guess that you are not giving your body enough fuel. Are you doing a special diet, because I can't imagine eating so little food? By going to your fitness tracker and changing your fitness goals, you can have Spark set your nutrition ranges for the amount of exercise you are doing. I am guessing that it will put you almost 1000 calories more than what you are currently consuming. If you are not on a special, doctor-prescribed diet, then I highly recommend that you get with your doctor to discuss what will work best for you. I promise that I am not judging or lecturing here. I am genuinely concerned. Without enough fuel, you can put your body into starvation mode where it hangs onto fat while you lose muscle.

Are you very close to your goal? Sometimes that slows down weight loss. Are you eating enough? Sometimes when you workout a lot you need to eat a little more to get the scales moving. Hang in there the scales will move again. emoticon
