Love the motivation pic! You gotta love yourself first and foremost - easy to say, hard to do. We can work to be better versions of ourselves, but we're still stuck with ourselves! So, Love yourself, all of you! You are beautiful, just as you are. You may be here to get healthier or stronger and hope to drop some pounds while you do that, but remember that you are GREAT just as you are!

On Task Thursday

Thursday, May 16, 2013

Tomorrow my mom is having knee surgery. Hopefully it will be an easy recovery for her. It throws a bit of a wrench in my week but if I focus today I can get most of everything done that I need to do. Yesterday I was productive and was in carb/calorie range, even with two small caramels emoticon

emoticon Complete to list for today emoticon

emoticon Wear new shoes for an hour emoticon

emoticon Earn 45 points on workshop task list

emoticon Freggie with each meal and snack emoticon

emoticon Get in some Wii time, at least 15 min emoticon

emoticon When feeling frazzled, emoticon and breathe

emoticon At least 96oz of water

Have a healthy day! emoticon

Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your mom! A small treat like two caramels now and again is good eating, its healthier than denying yourself always which can lead to going off track or binging when you haven't had them for a long time. a piece or two of dark chocolate with 72%cacao bean in it is not only a treat but its healthy for you too, lots of antioxidents in it. I love your checklists, but are you giving yourself any non food rewards for doing them? That can help motivate you to get them done.

Will power Wednesday

Wednesday, May 15, 2013

I stress ate yesterday. I got some not so great news about a far away family member and I can't do anything to help, so I ate. However, I tracked everything. I was over carbs but fine on calories. The scale even shows me down a bit from Saturday. I avoided all the homemade goodies though. The brownies are now gone to the office. I did eat a donut this morning. I should have tossed it as all I could taste was fat but I didn't. Whoops. I need to keep making the choice to avoid the sweets.

Goals for today:

emoticon Wear the stinking shoes for at least an hour finally

emoticon Drink 96oz of water at least emoticon

emoticon Get in at least 3 strength exercises emoticon

emoticon Complete 2 reports, 1 done

emoticon Earn at least 45 points on task list emoticon

emoticon Eat a sensible lunch emoticon and dinner

Have a healthy day :-)

Oh boy! I know that care so much but can't do a darned thing for them, feeling only too well! I have never held up well during those times food wise either. But at least with SP you can know what you chose to do to your body and maybe plan ahead a little for the next eating attack. This likely won't be the only time you will feel this feeling during this time of stress. This is probably not the time to do more baking and have such Trigger foods within easy reach. Foods that are healthier that you find filling and like are a better thing to stock up the house with. That way you don't mindlessly eat, you really have to go out of your way, like to the store or a fast food store, etc to get those kind of foods. It may seem hard now but in two weeks you will have a healthy new habit to replace the old unhealthy eating one.

"Wear the stinking shoes" that is awesome! That is how I feel about my morning workout that I have not done for over a month... I say to myself, just put on the stinking shoes, once they are on, I have no excuse to crawl back into bed... maybe I'll try this tomorrow morning... something has got to get me moving again!
