In other news: I need to restart C25K I think, but I now have a tracker-thingy on my mobile phone that will tell me how far I've gone and all so it's okay, really.

Also, I really need to get a proper camera so that I don't need to work with this somewhat unflattering angle...

You are so sweet. emoticon I am glad to see you. I definitely respect that you are making decisions for your own well-being and please know that we are all supporting and rooting for you and, of course, your boyfriend. I know you can get back to C25K if you want to. Just take things one step at a time. I hope you are able to get some rest. If you need *anything* at all, please don't hesitate to ask. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Welcome back!! I honestly did think of you and miss you!
It's so cool to see you in motion picture form, and hear your beautiful accent. You are really lovely. :D
Best of luck with the move, and getting your momentum back going, for me it's all SO much easier when you are feeling in the swing of it.

I've missed you soooooooo much. I'm so glad you came here. I actually tried to send you a message yesterday and my computer locked up. Don't know what's going on. I did a full scan and didn't find any viruses, rebooted, and all that stuff. Today it is running much better.

Any who, I couldnt understand where you are moving to. Will you still be in Norway? I wish you the best with the long distance relationship. I was able to make that work with my now husband. So I know it can be done.

I can relate to the sleep loss stuff. It all snow balls doesn't it. I feel good today, though. I actually slept through the night last night. Shocker.

Concluding Handy Stuff-week

I am so glad the reactions to my vlog were undividedly positive. I was very nervous at the thought of people poking fun at me because of my accent - I don't think my accent is all that thick, but I have had people make fun of me because mine was not exactly like theirs. (And they also claimed they did not HAVE an accent - uh, fail. Accent = pronounciation. In other words, if you speak, you have an accent. /rant) Who knows, I might do it again! It certainly took a lot less time than writing one out.

Work on Monday and Wednesday was insanely busy, but today is calm, which is why I am blogging instead of working. (Do not get the wrong idea; I have finished my to-do list for today.)

This week I ran three days in a row, and I am going to avoid doing that ever again if I can. Running two days in a row was okay; running three days in a row was murder. My legs were begging for mercy through every single interval...and do you know what they did when we were all done and were headed home? They ran. Seriously, I have no idea what they were thinking. Perhaps it was the trail that whispered to them, 'you usually run this stretch...' in such a seductive manner that they could not resist?

Weight-wise I have dropped another kilo - taking me into the 150's! I am very pleased with that. I have also lost three cm over my hips since my last measurement, but my waist is not following suit. Well, I guess that means my big backside is shrinking, right? And I am still withing a healthy hip/waist-ratio. I think I am losing a little too fast though; it has only been five days since my last weigh-in. I decided to weigh-in early because of the trip I am taking this weekend.

In other news, I am back on the BCP. Here is to hoping I will not gain a lot of weight on it; I am not sure I did last time, but we will see.

That would be all from me this time around! Take care of yourselves, have a lovely weekend, and I will be back with a new blog in a couple of days.

Question: Would you rather have a vlog or a blog?

~ Nedyfay.

I appreciate both blog and vlog. Congrats on all of your success... vlog, 150's, and running.

You are rocking this thing! Enjoy!

Congrats on your weight loss! :) I would definitely not run 3 days in a row again if you were sore. Good for you for keeping up with it though! It's very inspiring!

Enjoy your trip! I know you're looking forward to it.

As far as a blog vs. a vlog, I don't have a preference. I did really enjoy seeing and hearing you, but I also enjoy reading what you have to say. I would say to just do what feels good to you! emoticon

Congrats girl. IF 3 days is too much, only do 2. Well personally I enjoyed the Vlog because it was nice to see you in person, but do what you feel is more comfortable, easier, etc. :-) Oh birth control pills, how I sometimes loathe you.

emoticon on the weight loss. Why do you think you're losing too fast?

My computer doesn't handle video very well so I prefer a written blog, however I sure did enjoy seeing and hearing you. You do whatever you want.

Hope you have a good weekend.

I choose VLOG:) And sounds like you are doing so well at the moment - 3 days in a row I guess you need to give your muscles time to repair.

Not the best video quality, but I am feeling brave so I am taking advantage of it before it passes. I get really uncomfortable in front of the camera, so please don't make fun of me.

How AWESOME to see you live! Gave me a big smile - and you never said you were such a spunk ! (Australian word for attractive:)

I must do a vlog I think - hair and makeup might take some time but...

Totally get the icecream thing - in warmer climes in Australia now and starting to crave that sweet fatty treat, Tried a lemon sorbet today(1% fat) but was SO loaded with sugar I couldn't do it.

See you round the spark.

That was wonderful. Glad to see you and hear you. It feels so personal. I hope to do the same one day when I get a computer with a camera.

BTW you look great. All the hard work is definately paying off. I battle with ice cream cravings too. That and cookies are my worst. Last night I had some sugar free jello. That seems to be my new best friend.

You'll do good this weekend. I just know it. I have to weigh and measure everything, too. It really makes me accountable. I record it all so I need to be accurate.

Baking fever is a-go! Excellent! (I'm sure your boyfriend isn't complaining that much!)
I think part of it is getting into the swing of running...once you do it, you're doing it. There's not a lot of prep!
Have a great week, and I hope you did well on those last 20 minutes!

(P.S. Brave you with a vlog, I'm jealous! Pretty speaking voice by the way!)

Rambling

I'm so tired I could cry. It hasn't been a bad day by any means, but busy, and my colleagues seemed a little stressed, which rubs off on me. In additon, I'm worried about a friend. I'll see him this weekend, though - we have a cupcake/strawberries dipped in chocolate/massage/movie night planned. Meow.

Anyway, I have lost 11 kg since I re-started Sparks at the beginning of this year. I was pretty surprised when I checked my weight this morning, but okay, I'll take it. Now I just have to be careful not to self-sabotage again - whenever I hit a new lowest weight, I tend to go insane. I don't know why. Self-sabotage indeed. (The fact that I have cinnamon swirls sitting in the oven right now has nothing to do with this - they are for my boyfriend who is working late!)

It'll be another busy day at work. I seldom sit down to eat lunch - there is simply too much to do, so I have my diet bar (easy to carry, portion control, tasty, doesn't crumble, easy to re-wrap and toss in my bag if I need to go quickly) whilst working - making a memorial book, cleaning up the church, sitting in the car... I try to be mindful when I eat it, though. But mindful eating without doing anything else - like talk to someone, work, or watch something - is so boring I actually eat faster just to get it done with. (I savour my treats though.)

Tomorrow will see me embark on the third week of C25K. I will have to run two days in row to make up for my weekend trip, but I think I'll be okay.

I'm proud of you for deciding to do two days in a row to make up for the weekend. That will make you feel great.

That's good you are going to see your friend. You need each other.

Have fun with the third week of C25K! Mindful eating can be tough, as you said, especially when you are busy with a lot of other things.

It sounds like a lot of things are going on at once. Sometimes it is easier to take things one day at a time, but you know that. I am thinking of you and hoping that tomorrow brings a less stressful day. emoticon

Just a couple of pictures from the trail that I run on

I love the sound of running water:

This is the challenge that makes the first running interval so hard...yep, I go up it. I haven't yet worked up the courage to run down it:

I sometimes jump up and down on this bridge for the pleasure of feeling it bounce up and down a little:

Terri, this is the spot that makes me think of you:

This little fellow sometimes greets me as I go up or are coming down from the trail. He/she is very affectionate and has the softest fur ever.

Thank you so much for the pictures. It's like being there. That is a fabulous trail. I haven't run a trail since I left California, 3 yrs ago. It looks wonderful. Once the forest opens again here I know one trail I can run. I'll take pics, too.
