Please read this. Your help is needed in the fight against Breast Cancer.

Saturday, October 03, 2009

Dear SparkPeople Family,

My FPL team of nearly 500 people will be joined by hundreds of others on October 17, 2009 at Bayfront Park, Miami, participating in Komen Race for the Cure which plays a vital role in raising funds for Breast Cancer research, education, prevention, advocacy and treatment.

I will be dedicating my run to one of my closest aunts, Aunt Yvonne, who is a breast cancer survivor, and my Aunt Barbara and Aunt Floris who lost their battles against the disease.

I am asking you to please make a tax-deductible contribution to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, even if itís just $5.00 or $10.00. Every dollar makes a huge impact on the global movement to end breast cancer forever!

Additionally, you can join me at the event as a walker, runner or volunteer for the event. There are many ways to join in on the fight.

Thank you for supporting the fight against breast cancer.

Please visit my personal Susan G. Komen For The Cure page to make a donation to my efforts. race.komenmiaftl.org/site/TR/Race/Ge

Your donation is greatly appreciated and truly means a lot to me!

Love Always,

It is good to see you and good to know that you are still doing these races/walks, etc... I am unable to help out at this time, but will pray that you get lots of other people who can!

Good for you!! My boss and her daughter are walking right now for the Susan G Komen 3-day-walk in San Francisco. Keep getting your steps in every day. Robin and Michelle were only able to walk 10 miles yesterday due to Michelle's blisters.

Hello All and Special hello the BLAHC team!!

Just stopping in to say hello. It's been such a long time I've been on Spark People but ya know things have been pretty hectic. We just opened a brand new fitness center at work so that took over 40 hours per week to prepare the grand opening and get up and running. Now it's been almost a month that we have been open so things are getting better.

Also, I am back in school, currently working on a Master's in Public Health and that is taking up any extra time that I do have when I am not at work. So I just wanted to post a blog and let everyone know I am still around and still smiling!!

I hope you all are shedding those pounds left and right and keeping up with Jo and Mary's challenges!

Remember NEVER GIVE UP! Even if you slip up once or twice just pick up right where you left off and KEEP MOVING FORWARD. Don't ever look back at the negativity that you left behind. This a continuous journey to a better you, so moving forward is the only way to go! NO EXCUSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take care,

Here is a pic of the family, as we stick together on our healthy journey...

Today is the 7th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center.

I took the time today to say hello to my family and friends that I haven't spoke to in a while, just to wish them a wonderful day and I told them I love them. Although it was just a text message, it just meant a lot to some of them just to show that I was thinking of them. I counted and it was 14 people I reached out to tell that I love them today...Funny, my oldest sister responded saying that it was so sweet that she wanted to cry...

Anyway my point is that we really have to appreciate all the things we have in our lives, and all of our loved ones because those who lost people on 9/11 would give anything to have their loved ones back. So I wanted to take this time to just remind you to be thankful you are alive, and please don't forget to tell your loved ones, that you love them!.

No matter what you are going through, whether you are struggling with a "never-ending" weight loss goal, or battling health problems, just be thankful you are alive and able to breath this wonderful air!

Stay positive...and good luck on your weight loss journey...

Don't give up...It may be hard now, but everything will pay off in the end..TRUST ME...YOU CAN DO IT!

~~Blessed Mahogany~~
