This morning everybody was up at 2. My husband went into his model room and did some modeling. I went downstairs and fired up CLX.

Sumo Squat with Bicep Curl - W 12.5 R 10

Dead Lift Row - - W 17.5 R 12 (I'll try 20 next time)
Sumo Squat with Overhead Tricep Extension-- W15 R12 (and I didn't hit myself in the head...bonus..I'll try 17.5 next time)
Dead Lift with Double Row -- W15 R 12 (I'll try 17.5 next time)
Bowler's Lunge with Single-Arm Row - - W 15 R 12 (I'll try 17.5 next time)
Bicep Curls with Abductor Balance - - W 12.5 R 10
Forward Lean Lunge with Double Row - - W 17.5 R 12 (I'll try 20 next time)
Triple-Threat Push Ups - 12 (on toes...the tricep pushups are killer)

After a shower and breakfast it was off to work to do some more cleaning and order some supplies. I also had some samples to run on the HPLC. That all kept me pretty busy.
I had a chiropractor appointment this afternoon. The back is feeling awesome!!
Then I came home and baked some low carb coconut chocolate chip muffins:

We had various packaged Indian food for dinner:

Trader Joe's Tandoor Naan
A very tasty meal and amazingly didn't put me over in sodium for the day.
There is definitely more housekeeping or should I say labkeeping in my future at work.

What can I say about the food, it looks awesome as usual. Ft. Wayne doesn't have a Trader Joe's from what I hear, so we'll be stocking up on those trips to Indy, I'm sure. But that's a ways in the future yet.

Still Cleaning the Lab

My foot felt good this morning so I did 2.6 miles. I started out in my new shoes (vomero) but both feet started to feel sore so I put on my older ones (lunar elite) and they felt much better. Now I'm not sure if it's the new shoes or just a holdover from Sunday. I will try the new shoes again on Thursday and see what happens. Also wondering if I should try using the footbalance custom insoles that Roadrunner sold me in November that I haven't really been using. Perhaps just a better insole in the new shoes would be what I need.
Lots of cleaning going on at work trying to make it presentable for the inspectors. They tend to not look too hard if it looks clean. I think I'll be at it the whole week but that's okay. It could use a cleaning and I don't have a lot of samples coming in.
I made some chicken and black bean chili in the slow cooker. For some extra spiciness, I added a can of chipotle in adobo. Yum!!

i sure hope your new shoes work out for you. it's never fun when you have to "break in" or even adjust to a new fit. i wonder if you could take them to work and do some dancing in them during your breaks or something?

    Well, cleaning burns lots of calories! Sometimes you have to lids a few frogs before finding your prince in the shoe dept.

The chili sounds really good except for the fact that it's really hot here! I'll probably make myself a salad for dinner; not sure what to do for DH.

The brownie was totally worth it - exactly what I was expecting the other dessert to be!

    Those adobo chiles are awesome, aren't they! I am thrilled that the commissary is adding all sorts of new goodies to their inventory so that we can cook with all this great stuff (although, due to the EHEC scare, their produce section is basically empty).

Have you had a gait analysis done? I'm thinking about doing a professional one; if there are points that can be improved to avoid injuries, it won't hurt to know about them. Or maybe your shoes need some more time getting broken in?

My poor foot was still a little sore above and below the arch so I decided not to do any elliptical this morning.
Busy day at work getting ready for the inspection next week. This involved throwing a whole bunch of old stuff away and it will continue through the end of the week.
I did my CLX workout when I got home:
6/6/11
Burn Circuit 1

Sumo Squat with Hip Lift - W 15 R 12 (I'll try 17.5 next time)
Lunge with Posterior Fly - - W 7.5 R 12 (I'll try 10 next time)
Push Up with Leg Lift - 12 (on toes)
Dead Lift with Posterior Fly - - W 7.5 R 12 (I'll try 10 next time)
Lunge with Core Rotation - - W 15 R 12 (I'll try 17.5 next time)
Bench Press and Leg Lower - - W 10 R 12 (I did all leg lowers..YAY!)
Squat with Side Bend - - W 15 R 12 (I'll try 17.5 next time)
Forward Lean Lunge with DBL Arm Posterior Fly - - W 7.5 R 12 (6 each leg)(I'll try 10 next time)
Chest Fly with Hip Lift - - W 10 R 12
Progress is being made. Awesome!
Dinner: I had a Morningstar Farm Spicy Black Bean Burger and my husband had salmon burgers. I had planned on having salmon as well but there were only 2 in the package. Maybe next time.
Hopefully my foot will be happy..tomorrow is a run day.

    Mmmmmh, I love the spicy black bean burgers!! The fish burgers we had last night were pretty good, as well, and it was the first time we ever tried sweet potato fries - yummy! If you like sweet potato, that is... I didn't even put anything on them except some salt.

Long Run, Foot Pod and Wonky App

The clouds parted for a few hours this morning and we were able to go out for a run. My BFF told me about a track nearby that is open to the public so we checked it out. I thought I was going to get my Polar foot pod calibrated...that didn't quite happen. I attached it to my shoe and we started walking. I've been using the Galloway Ultimate 5K App for my iPhone. It had some issues where it froze so I ended up reinstalling it. I opened it up today had to get my music in and turn on the GPS (because I wanted a verification of how the foot pod was working and the Polar won't let you have both the foot pod and the GPS going simultaneously...or at least I couldn't get that to work). While I was messing around with the app, the polar went back to the start screen. I finally got the app going (or so I thought) and ended up just starting the foot pod without going to calibrate...missed that in the list. The app goes and we run and walk going 2.25 miles before I realized that the iPhone was asking if I wanted the GPS to use my location...well, of course I did. Then the app started all over again so the GPS was never tracking our mileage. We ended up going 4 miles doing the run/walk and .5 mile warm up and cool down for a total of 4.5 miles. The run for today was supposed to be 3 miles. I think we're ready for the 5K race next Sunday.
We came home and I did Ab Burner from CLX while my husband took his shower. After I took mine, we walked over to City Diner for brunch. I got an egg white omelet with refried beans, jalapenos, green onions, tomatoes and jack cheese. Very tasty.

I have half left for lunch tomorrow. Yum!
When we got up to leave the restaurant, I noticed top of my right foot was a little sore. Hmmm.... that's where I had the foot pod. emoticon I don't think I'll be wearing it again. I did a google search and there have been others with the same problem. Not worth it to me. I'll stick to the GPS.
We went grocery shopping and did some housework. Then it was time for dinner. I had a Smart Dog with salsa, baked lentil chips and hummus. Another yum meal!

The clouds are back and it's getting pretty cool again. It's supposed to rain again tomorrow but clear up by Thursday. I hope so. It's about time Summer came.

    I love the GPS on Runkeeper for my iPhone. The tracker works even when I stick my phone in my bike pouch. Glad you got a good run in. I cleaned house yesterday and planted a 12ft by 3ft box veggie garden my hubbie built for me.

    Food looks good -- I'm glad you got in the workouts regardless of the technology. I got an armband for an iphone/ipod, and then found out that it won't accommodate my otter case. So, I gave it to my daughter for her ipod. I hope you are luxuriating in the stretching!

    wonder if you can return the foot pod? i have a garmin forefunner 110 that i really like. just the basic plain jane with no chest strap, though it is available. i just dont really care what my heart rate is. hey, as long as it is beating, i'm good!

    GREAT workout! We have a track nearby that is open to the public but you have to drive there, since its not within walking distance. I wish it were a little closer so we could use it.

Saturday Haircut

Today was a rest day so I did Recharge from CLX. It's about 20 minutes of yoga. Then did a whole lot of laundry.
We had lunch at Yuki Sushi. I got some very tasty veggie sukiyaki:

There was still a little time before my hair appointment so we walked up and down the street for a while.

Now to decide what to do for dinner.
I hope the rain goes away at least in the morning tomorrow. I would rather not have it pouring like it has been today.
