Crazy Natalie did get up at 2:30 and finished C25K week 4 . I even added some extra minutes (30 seconds to the 3 minute runs, 1 minute to the first 5 minute run and then figured why not just run through the cool down).
My boss was back and little jet lagged so that made for an interesting day. Lots of explaining and re-explaining. I think he just needs to recover over the weekend.
I got my TurboFire replacement discs and only one looked scratched. They didn't look too bad. I watched it today and it was fine. I will probably watch the rest of the just because I'm kind of anal that way.
As the title states, I did have carnitas for dinner. I do really love the Chavez supermarket taqueria. Excellent quality, great prices, right around the corner. Who could ask for more? I should have taken a picture of my plate. I will next time we go.
We're getting together with my brother for lunch tomorrow and he wants Indian buffet. I must be good. Tomorrow is my rest day from exercise.

Those of you who read yesterday's blog know that I have to use up some vacation time, so today I'm vacating.
I did sleep in until about 5am. My husband ended up getting up then, too. It was weird to be having breakfast together at that time but very nice. I'm glad I got to spend the time with him because he is going out to dinner with people from the shop. Apparently they reached some quota, so Land Rover is taking them out to Alexander's Steakhouse. No significant others are allowed. I don't know when he'll be home.
I did the elliptical for 40 minutes and then did "Quick Trouble Zones", the wrongly named No More Trouble Zones On Demand. Usually the quick version is about 30 minutes but this was the full thing. I knew this because I did it on Tuesday as well. I still used the 3 pounds. I didn't want to push it. My arms were kind of tired today. Probably from the elliptical before. It has the moving handlebars. Whew..those supermans really work my lower back. I can feel it now but not when I was doing them. That's good though, it could use the workout I think.
I had some leftover marinara chicken and pasta for lunch and I'm think I'll just heat an Amy's palak paneer meal for dinner. I guess I'll be having Indian food two nights in a row. Definitely not a bad thing in my book.
I did catch up on last week's CSI. I'm trying to decide if I'll watch a movie or organize my recipes....I have a lot of recipes printed out that need to go into binders. I think I may hold off on that. Sounds too much like work to me.

I had fully intended to get up at 2:30 this morning and do my run. The alarm went off and I sat up in bed and the room spun. Not a good sign. I got out cautiously and reset the alarm for 3:30 and got back into bed. My allergies decided that they were going to mess with my equilibrium this morning. When I got up at 3:30, I felt much better.
Work was okay. Not too busy but I was occupied. I realized that I need to take some vacation time because I have reached the upper limit and can't accrue any more. So, tomorrow will be a vacation day. Why not Friday, you ask? Because my boss will be back from Austria on Friday and will want to get together for a meeting.
Afterwork, I did my C25K W4D2 run. Felt good. I wasn't sure how well it would go because I'm still pretty sore from NMTZ yesterday.
I made some yellow split pea dal with brown rice for dinner. Very tasty.
In case you're wondering, BeachBody has shipped my replacement DVDs. "I am sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. I have reshipped the following Dvds at no cost to you". Well I'd hope there would be no cost to me. It's not my fault they arrived scratched. Anyway, they should be here next week.

I was good and used only 3 pounds weights for my first attempt at NMTZ in a while. I did use 5 pounds for the plank rows because the 3 pounds weights are so small that they crush my hands into the floor. The verdict, I could have used 5 pound weights because most of the exercises didn't really seem hard but I wanted to make sure my back would be okay with the workout. It was definitely a little sore a few hours later, but I think that was because of the supermans and deadlifts. I'm actually feeling it in my shoulders now. My legs are pretty sore both from running yesterday, the QFC from yesterday of lateral lunges and today's workout. It feels good to be sore from exercise again.
I finally did my statistics at work!!! YAY!!! Boy am I glad that's over with at least for now. There will always be data that needs to be checked.
I had a dentist appointment this afternoon. Just a cleaning but I still dread going. I actually have a new dentist now. My former one is retiring so he introduced me to his replacement. Also very nice. I think we'll get along fine. The good news....no cavities!! YAY!!!
I tried out Chef Meg's Slow Cooker Marinara Chicken and Vegetables for dinner tonight. Pretty tasty. It needed a little heat, though. We tried both red pepper flakes and Siracha. Not sure which we preferred.

I got up this morning and the back was feeling pretty good so I turned on the treadmill and did C25K W4D1. I did add an extra minute to each of the 5 minute running intervals. When I was done, I walked until I hit 3 miles total. My back felt good. :-) It has continued to feel pretty good the rest of the day. It feels a little crackly sometimes if I sit too long but then moving around it's fine. My knees have been a little sore the past few days. Maybe from the weather.
I finished getting my Excel spreadsheet ready to do my statistics tomorrow. Boy, that thing took 2 whole days. Yikes!!
After work, I came home and baked some Superdoodle cookies. They are snickerdoodles with cinnamon chips in them for extra cinnamon-y goodness :-)
Since this appears to be the day to have salmon for dinner, that's what we had. White King Salmon (much milder than regular), Alexia rosemary and garlic oven fries, and green beans.
I think I prefer the regular salmon because I like the salmon flavor. It was good though.
