I did my measurements and even took pictures. I am brave enough to post measurements but not pictures.
Chest: 31.25
Upper arm: 11
Waist: 25.5
Hips: 34.5
Abductors: 37.5 (Yes, I do have quite the saddlebags)
Thighs: 21.25 (both are the same)
I did the Burn Circuit 1 this morning. Since it was the first time through any of the workouts, I went a little light. I am going to need some heavier weights, though. The heaviest dumbbells I've got are 15 pounds. Those were just too light for the squats.
Afterward, I was feeling like doing a little cardio so I jumped on the elliptical for 50 minutes. That felt good after a day off yesterday.
I was really hungry for my Ezekial English muffin and almond butter after that workout.
We went to Trader Joe's and did some grocery shopping. We went to the Taqueria for lunch and I got a carne asada taco. I ordered two because they're usually small, but these were gigantic. They used the 6" tortillas instead of the 4.5" ones and put a lot of meat in. My husband ate the second one.
I decided to price weights online. I finally decided to go for the BowFlex SelectTech's that Chalene uses. She isn't a whole lot taller than me and it looked like she didn't have any problem with them being too big. We already have way to many free weights sitting in the living room: 2's, 3's, 5's, 8's, 10's , a single 12, and 15's. I know I need another 12 and at least 20 immediately. I have a feeling I'll be need 25, 30, maybe more for this program. The heavier the weight, the more expensive it is. I figured why not get adjustable. The one's I ordered go up to 50 pounds each. I doubt I'll need anything heavier than that. I guess I'll see on Thursday how they are. They should be arriving Wednesday but that's my running/Burn Intervals and Ab Burner day.
I guess I should get going on some laundry and swiffervac.

    thank you for your bravery on posting your measurements. I am not there yet! You ALWAYS give me inspiration when it comes to doing my cardo. I read in your blog 50 minutes on the elliptical and think to myself, Katie you can handel a 1/2 hour of anything!

    I wouldn't be surprised if your measurements go up somewhat. You will be working out with pretty heavy weights, you'll get so buff. Maybe the next step is body building! :)

    I have adjustable weights & really like them - altho sometimes it pays to actually have 2 sets (I don't) cause then you don't have to take the time to change them, which can actually be difficult in the middle of a workout.

    WOW you are tiny (ok except for the saddlebag! but hey we all have imprefections!)

clueless so I had to scroll past the workout bits ( I am adhd that way)

BUT I have to say, if I wasn't training for HM! I think I will just do p90x! I see soo much result! and I can't believe I can get my HR as high as running, even burn the same about of cals!

and the results is almost immediate!

BUT having said that! my hubby was on wk 3 when he took a week off for conference, not so pretty coming back. so goes to show how fast your body goes back if you don't exercise!

scary thought for maintenance for me in the future.

    I really like CE. I haven't made it through all 3 phases though. I took beginning and ending measurements the first time I did the Burn Phase...I lost 7 lbs and 7 inches and I probably should have used heavier weights. I also wasn't 100% with my eating. Can't wait to see your results. Good luck with it!!

NNL West Model Car Show

You may have noticed I wasn't really around today. That's because DH and I were attending (and working at) the NNL West model car show.
We stayed at the hotel last night so we could get an early start setting up this morning. When we got to the hotel there was a pizza party. A good way to start the event.
This morning we met for breakfast at 6am and by 7am headed over to the convention center next door. Many tables were set up for the display of the models.
I helped get the registration desk in order so that we'd be ready for the people when they arrived. I spent most of the day working the registration desk. Handling the forms and numbering the models. Each person who enters a model is given some raffle tickets and there are raffles every hour of car models. People vote for best of show in adult and youth categories.
A fun day. Lots of great looking cars.
I'm glad we're home and can sleep in our own bed tonight. And I missed my little Malika emoticon

If you read my status from last night I was trying to decide which Jackie Warner workout to do this morning. I went with the votes: Xtreme Timesaver Training (2 votes..Power Circuit Training only got 1). As always, it was a great workout. Just when you think you can't do any more, it's over.
At work I had a whole pile of data to look over. I had to remove the HPLC column I installed yesterday and install the new one that arrived yesterday afternoon. The new column proceeded to leak, so it took a while to get it tightened so that it stopped leaking. I always attach a guard column to catch any small particles that may have gotten into the system. For the new column, the guard columns are called KrudKatchers :-)

After work I went and got my hair cut. I had been thinking of getting a pixie cut by my hairdresser asked me to wait until the weather got warmer. So I just got my usual angled bob.
I came home and started a load of laundry and baked some cookies for the NNL model car show on Saturday. I won't have time to bake them tomorrow night.

There is more laundry in the dryer and my husband's jacket is in the washer. I don't know what he got on it (I didn't see) but he wanted it washed.
Tomorrow I won't be getting up early to exercise. It's going to wait until after work. I don't want to mess up my hair ;-)

    I watched a woman get a pixie cut when I was waiting for the bus last night. She had bleached blond hair and it looked awesome- she looked so funky! Made me want it too, but there is no way I can pull it off. Why did your hair dresser want to wait for warmer weather, is it a hair thing or just because of actually being cold?

I was good this morning and actually got up at 2:30 to get my workout in. I did C25K W2D2. 90 seconds of running just isn't very long so I cheated and added 15 seconds to each interval, making it an extra 90 seconds of running. I figured that might not be too much. Maybe it was, my knees are a little sore. That could also be the crazy weather we're having. Hot, cold, rainy.
Definitely a busy day at work. It took me most of the day to get the new HPLC up and running. Tomorrow I'll get down to some serious playing with it.
I got lots of bonus exercise going up and down the stairs between the labs and I danced around in my office a little because as you all know, I like to do that.
I had planned on watching a movie when I got home today since I had already done my workout but somehow the afternoon got away with me and now it's almost time for bed.
We had whole wheat pasta, turkey meatballs, Newman's sockarooni sauce and green beans for dinner. Definitely comfort food.
Tomorrow morning I'll be working out with Jackie. I just haven't decided which workout to do yet. I'm still a little sore from yesterday's adventure.

I don't think the 90 secs made a difference either. Is it possible it's residual pain from somewhere else and only focusing at your knees?
