putting on my summer face

I got all my hair cut off and I feel great. I was just so sick of myself and needed a change.

I finished the 10 day blood sugar detox and I lost 3 pounds. The plan was so similar to the way I eat anyway I am happy with the three. I will be glad to have my greek yogurt back but I didn't really miss the grains.

My eating will be staying pretty clean since I gave up goodies for Lent. I guess if I want to get back to the weight I was last summer I am going to step up the exercise since that is what it seems to take for me. You always hear the food is 80 percent and exercise 20 percent in losing weight but for me it is more 50 / 50 which is harder when you have fibro. I can do it I have done it before I just have to get some motivation, maybe find another gym.

I am just so excited it is almost April I need to see and feel the sun soon !

    That 50/50 ratio remember is from the masses and what they eat which is crap. We healthy eaters it definitely is 80/20.

My week

I have booked myself out of the office for Tuesday and Wednesday and have no plans except a 90 minute yoga class Tuesday morning the rest of the time is mine to do as I please.

I hope the weather is nice it would be lovely to have some long walks with the dog.

Still have not lost any weight and not because I have been over eating I have not, but I am going to be following the 10 day blood sugar detox starting tomorrow so I am hoping I will see some movement on the scale this week.

I will let you know.

I have to face it

That 10 pounds I have put on since last November is not going to magically disappear like I keep thinking.

I have to change my weight tracker from 162 to 172 :(

I found out from starting to log my food again that even though I am eating only healthy stuff ( nothing processed ) the amounts I am eating are too much.

So here I go starting at 172 at the end of February .

    My problem too. I eat too much whether healthy or otherwise. I need to increase my fiber to be more satisfied with what I do eat.

    I am assuming from your blog that what you eat is cooked?

The reason I'm asking is that my experience eating only raw, which begins again this Sunday, I don't need to concern myself with amount of food nor calories. The body doesn't store unutilized raw, it breaks it down and disposes of it properly. LOL

Do you juice or do smoothies?

If you want to share your eating program with me I'd love it.

I had a cupping massage today and it was wonderful. I was really hurting from a tough yoga class yesterday and then shoveling the deck and driveway AGAIN this morning. If anyone reading this has pain issues like fibro I highly suggest looking into trying it.

I have finally gotten a hold of my sugar and carb cravings and the holiday bloat is slowly disappearing. It feels good , still not great but better. I have been telling myself I will have some sugar on Valentines day but maybe I will change my mind about that. I will hate going through the withdrawal again.

We have almost made it through January :)

Back to my routine

We just brought my daughter back to school from Christmas break. Now things should start to flow back to normal around here.
I am going to make some kind of an exercise schedule... stuff I can do at home since I am currently without a gym for the first time in 5 years. I can use the Wi fit and I have a few machines in the garage I can use. I probably should do 2 yoga classes a week . I just find it hard to get out the door at 730 in the morning when it is so cold out. I know it is not a good excuse but I use it .
My eating has pretty much cleaned up in the last few weeks but my pants are still tight and I have some work to do. My husband and I are going to plan our menu for the week and go grocery shopping this afternoon. I am going to do something with the spaghetti squash we have from the garden this summer. I saw a recipe that had the squash topped with mushrooms and peas. I am going to look for it now.
Have a great week everybody, these are the weeks to work hard at our goals, summer will be here before we know it.

    Ooh..that recipe caught my interest. I never was much of a squash eater growing up but realized a couple years ago that there are some really good ones out there. I myself was aiming to get back on a regular exercise schedule this year, but ended up sick the past two week. Now to get my energy up and my fanny in gear. Good luck to you.
