Being worthy

Tuesday, July 24, 2007

I have 13 geat grand children and I want to be an inspiration to all of them. I try to set good examples for them and teach them good morals.
They are all healthy and smart children, learning easily in school and at home. I hope they will all grow up to be good citizens, great parents, and good deciples of Christ.

Hey Nan, It's me - Nan. Hope you are staying out of the heat this summer. My husband told me Alex got quite a lot of rain yesterday. We didn't :-( so I had to go out this morning and water everything. I took my stool to sit on. I didn't waant to use the sprinklers because Ihaven't been outside much this summer and I wanted to get up close and personal with my gardens. So I walked around as long as I could with the hose, then I just sat on my stool. I am having quite a bit of inflammation of tendons. Goes with the fibromyalgia territory. Anyway - YES you are a great inspipration to your greats, grands, and kids. You are such a delightful person and pure of heart. Blessings to you, N

Congratulations on your wonderful family. We have the same dreams and hopes for our grandchildren. They have all turned out beautifully so far. Thank God for that. We have several who are excelling in Art and pottery skills. InHigh school and college. Have a brother who is an comercial Artist so we think it may be in their genes. Others are musicians and one is doing humanitarian work. Like you we are very proud of them all.

Many years ago , when I was a child we were taught to be happy with what we had. This was a valuable lesson because as I grew up and into my young married life times were hard. We made the most of everything we had.
Now in my "golden" years I have a good life and I am happy. Not to say that I do get lonely and miss all my loved ones but I am happy with my family all around me and we all stay busy woking with what we have and what we have to do..

Taking a stand

Wednesday, May 02, 2007

I take a firm stand on my Faith. I believe they way I was brought up was the right way of life.
We were taught manners, courtesy, and respect of others. We came from a two parent family and taught the love of God.
We didnt have all the emenities of life today. We struggled with what we had and made the most of it. Never went to bed hungry, just kept the cook pots handy in case of rain to catch the leaky roof. LOL
I love life and want to keep on living so I have to stay with Spark People Plan. Its the only way I have found to take off pounds and regain my energy and health.

Leta, you are such an excellent woman too due to the way you were raised.
I was brought up about the same way. My parents were married for a little over 40 years and died young but they did not get divorced like so many today do.
Our entertainment was jigsaw puzzles, games, a trip to the park, or a Sunday afternoon ride in the car.
We may not have had much to eat sometimes but we did not go hungry either.
I too love life and want to stay healthy and keep on living so I intend to stay with SP.
I love knowing you Leta and wish you a very long and healthy life.

I think I am about the oldest "dog" in our team, LOl. Nevertheless I do appreciate any advice and help from our team members and I especially appreciate our team leader.
Rosy, you never neglect any of us. This is evidenced by the rapid growth of our team.

Thank you Leta, I love you all. You are a great inspiration to me since you are so active at your age. You also do so much good with all your volunteering. I feel like I really know you personally and am proud to know you. I think if you can get involved in the challenges it also will help you. I love your new SparkPage background! Rosy
