Day 89 Accountability

Sunday --

emoticon1 - Exercise - 60 minute bike ride.
emoticon2 - 100 mile bike challenge - 12 miles today.
emoticon3 - Calories - 1730.
emoticon4 - Sleep - 7.5 hours.
emoticon5 - Spark curfew - 10:00pm.
emoticon6 - Freggies - 1 fruit, 4 veggies.
emoticon7 - Soul food - Today in church, we read the Passion of Christ from Mark 14:1-15:47. It's the cliff notes of what is to come this week.


NEW MONTH, NEW GOALS! The old ones are working really well, so i'm just tweaking them. Following my buddy, ThinGettinOut's lead, I removed water as a goal, since I almost never miss that one.

April 2012 accountability goals --
1 - Exercise at least 30 minutes per day, 5 days a week. I had to back off of running until I get the results of my MRI in early AprilI.
2 - I accepted a team challenge to log bicycling miles in April. My goal is 100 miles. I'm being realistic with my schedule. If I find that 100 is pretty easy, then I'll raise it later in the month.
3 - Track my food and limit my calories to less than 1800 per day. Goal weight is 145 pounds by end of May.
4 - Sleep 6+ hours per night.
5 - Stop Sparking by 10:30pm. I'm moving up my curfew by 30 minutes. I'm not getting to bed early enough to get my six hours of sleep. We'll see if this 10:30 curfew works better in April.
6 - Eat 1 fruit and 4 veggies per day.
7 - Feed my soul by reading scripture daily.

    Great goals for April! I agree on the bedtime. emoticon You need your zzzz's. My ultimate goal is 135, but I won't be there for quite a while. I love your goal of 145, but I won't be there for a while. I hope to be at 150 by the end of the month. We'll see what April brings, BUT I KNOW YOU'LL HIT YOUR GOAL!!! Congrats!!!!

Day 88 Accountability

Saturday --

I passed my real estate broker's exam with flying colors! Thank you for all your words of encouragement and good wishes. I know that they helped. I woke up in the middle of the night for about an hour - worrying that I didn't study enough. Oh me of little faith!

emoticon1 - Exercise - Planned day of rest. I was out joy riding in the new car after passing the broker's exam!
emoticon2 - Calories - 1778.
emoticon3 - Water - 8 cups.
emoticon4 - Sleep - 6.5 hours.
emoticon5 - Spark curfew - 10:30pm.
emoticon6 - Tax prep - done & filed! And my refund is now in my savings account. No longer burning a hole in my pocket!
emoticon7 - Freggies - 1 fruit, 5 veggies.

5 - Stop Sparking by 10:30pm. The # of hours that I sleep is directly proportional to how late I Spark. I'm moving up my curfew by 30 minutes. I'm not getting to bed early enough to get my six hours of sleep. We'll see if this 10:30 curfew works better in April.
6 - Eat 1 fruit and 4 veggies per day.
7 - Report my progress to the world every day by writing my accountability blog.

Day 87 Accountabiliity & Weigh-in

Friday --

Friday was weigh-in day for my team. I was down 1.0 pound. I've got 1.8 pounds to go in the next 10 days to meet my goal of weighing what my driver's license says that I weigh.

Meet Pearl, my new (to me) 2011 Blizzard Pearl Prius! I finally got off the fence and bought it.


emoticon1 - Exercise - 30 minutes recumbent bike, 15 minutes stretching.
emoticon2 - Calories - 1865. That egg roll and shrimp pad thai put me over a little bit.
emoticon3 - Water - 9 cups.
emoticon4 - Sleep - 6 hours.
emoticon5 - Spark curfew - 9pm. Cramming for my real estate broker's exam.
emoticon6 - Tax prep - done & filed! And my refund is now in my savings account! And no longer burning a hole in my pocket!

My knee swells anytime I do something that is high impact. So, in March, I will swim, use the elliptical machine, walk, or bike as the weather permits.
2 - Track my food and limit my calories to no more than 1800 per day. Lose 5 pounds by Easter so that I'll weigh what my driver's license says that I weigh.
3 - Drink 8 cups of water each day.
4 - Sleep 6+ hours per night.
5 - Stop Sparking by 11pm. The # of hours that I sleep is directly proportional to how late I Spark. I'm going to be accountable to this Spark curfew.
6 - Progress on tax preparation. Goal date to get everything to the accountant is March 19.
7 - Eat 1 fruit and 4 veggies per day.
8 - Report my progress to the world every day by writing my accountability blog.

    OHHHHHHH ... WooHoo on the weight loss, too! Next time you get your driver's license, you'll have to tell them you weigh 10 lbs. less because I bet you will! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I love it! I bet you will, too. Especially when you fill up at the gas station! As a matter of fact, my husband traded in his Tundra today for a Venza. Also, blizzard pearl! We hardly drove the truck because it was HUGE and gobbled up a lot of gas. Now we have two blizzard pearl white vehicles. It doesn't show dirt and looks clean almost all the time. Let me know what you think here in a month or two. I'd be interested to see what difference you see.

I hope your exam went well today. I was thinking about you when I was working my booty off in the yard.

emoticon3 - Water - 9 cups.
emoticon4 - Sleep - 5.5 hours.
emoticon5 - Spark curfew - 9pm. I have to study for my real estate broker's exam that I am taking on Saturday morning.
emoticon6 - Tax prep - done & filed! And my refund is now in my savings account! And burning a hole in my pocket to buy that Prius!
emoticon7 - Freggies - 2 fruit, 6 veggies.

    Hey Nancy! I'm still here, still trying to catch up with all the blogs!! Gosh, the accountability crowd sure is growing!! I just read your last 7 blogs and was about to leave a comment on each one of them, until I saw how well you did all week long! Your consistency is admirable! Except for one cashew incident and some short nights, you did awesome!!
Did you make your decision about the Prius? What a fun decision you have to make! Having no car payment is great for sure, on the other hand the gas price is making me nauseaus! I understand your confusion!
I'm so proud of you for being so dedicated to your goals day after day! You inspire me to continue and climb each step one day at the time until I reach the top (great cartoon BTW!)
Congrats on this week's loss also!
