Day 45 & 46 Accountability

Friday --

Weigh-in day. I am down 1.6 pounds from last Friday - in spite of that Valentine's dinner splurg. This daily accountability blogging helps!

emoticon1 - Exercise - planned day of rest.
emoticon2 - Calories - 1608.
emoticon3 - Water - 9 cups.
emoticon4 - Sleep - 6.5 hours.
emoticon5 - Freggies - 1 fruit, 5 veggies.
emoticon6 - Blog


Saturday -
emoticon1 - Exercise - physical therapy on my knee. The doctor says I can walk and swim, but need to take it easy even with those exercises.
emoticon2 - Calories - 2729. Had a cup of cashews at dad's because lunch was very late. I ate a big dinner including desserts at a church function. I feel very full tonight - haven't had this stuffed feeling in a long time. It doesn't feel good.
emoticon3 - Water - 10 cups.
emoticon4 - Sleep - 7 hours.
emoticon5 - Freggies - 1 fruit, 4 veggies.
emoticon6 - Blog

February 2012 accountability goals --
1 - Exercise at least 30 minutes per day, 5 days a week, alternating each day between running and cross-training. February, I will continue swimming and doing the dry land Olympic/Master swimmers aerobic conditioning circuit. I'll take up biking in the spring. (I'm training for a triathlon sprint.)
2 - Track my food and limit my calories to no more than 1800 per day.
3 - Drink 8 cups of water each day.
4 - Sleep 6+ hours per night.
5 - Eat 1 fruit and 4 veggies per day.
6 - Report my progress to the world every day by writing my accountability blog.

    Crongrats. Yes the blogging helps, but the big key is tracking those calories, both while you are losing the weight to lose it, and afterwards to make sure you don't slip back into the same old habits that put it on in the first place.

    Way to get back on track! Were the sugar flood gates opened up with that cookie you ate the other day? When I stay away from sugar and then indulge, I feel like such and addict the next day just looking for a "FIX" to fill my sugar need......crazy sugar and carb addictions!

Day 42 Accountability - Valentine's Day

3D Valentine cookie that I made for my Sweetie. I helped him eat it, too!

Tuesday --

emoticon1 - Exercise - 45 minute walk with the dogs. My knee is still really swollen. Guess I'm gonna have to stay off it - once I'm done dog-sitting.
emoticon2 - Calories - 2400? My Sweetie took me to an Argentinean restaurant for dinner - 5 course meal including champagne, sangria, tapas, lobster bisque, salad, chicken Venus with artichokes and mushrooms in a butter sauce, and dessert. No nutrition menu to record from, so I guessed at the calories for the things that I ate/drank. It was very rich and very worth it- and I'll be working it off the rest of the week, if not longer!
emoticon3 - Water - 9 cups.
emoticon4 - Sleep - 5 hours. This dog-sitting is getting to me. I walk them when I get home from swimming at 10pm, and I walk them again at 5:30am. I did take at nap at lunchtime!
emoticon5 - Freggies - 1 fruit (can I count the fruit in the sangria?), 5 veggies.

  I think it is great that you can celebrate and enjoy yourself without the guilt. Now days you're a hard core exercise machine and it'll take you no time to burn that off plus it is a good change for the body (calorie intake) to shake it up.

Day 41 Accountability

Monday --

emoticon1 - Exercise - 20 minute walk with the dogs; 30 minutes swimming. I had to baby my knee tonight. It's pretty swollen.
emoticon2 - Calories - 1387. I forgot that I have a blood draw in the morning, so I have to fast for 12 hours. I usually eat light before swimming and have a snack afterward. I can't have a snack tonight, so I'm on the low end of my calorie range.
emoticon3 - Water - 8 cups.
emoticon4 - Sleep - 5.5 hours.
emoticon5 - Freggies - 1 fruit, 4 veggies.
