I'm back today

Friday, June 18, 2010

After my slow start yesterday, I did rejuvenate and get going. Today was a much better start. I got up, had my coffee, iced my knee and went for my usual walk. I am feeling good about my morning walks. Nancy

Slow start this morning

Thursday, June 17, 2010

Well, I sure got off to a slow start this morning. First of all, I didn't get up until 7:00 and that was late for me. I like to walk between 6 & 7.......so that was already messed up. I just sat and drank my coffee and just poked around. Then I decided I had to get going for the day or I would get in no exercise. I rode the recumbent bike for 15 minutes for a little over 4 miles. Then I went next door to watch my little friend 2 1/2 yrs old. I just love watching her. I brought her to my house and we played and sang and danced for a while. After I took her back home, I rode the bike again for another 16 minutes for a little over 4 miles. That was a total of about 8 1/2 miles riding today. I feel good about that. emoticon I have had a GREAT day.

What the rain brought!!!!!!!!

Wednesday, June 16, 2010

This morning I got up and let the dog out. Looked out onto the lake and there were raindrops falling. I thought, oh no, I will be walking in the rain again this a.m. I decided to sit on front porch and drink my coffee and read the paper first. My husband came out after a little while with his coffee. He looked up and said "Did you see the rainbow?" I hadn't because I was reading. It was just starting and wasn't really bright in color or spread all of the way from side to side. In about 3 minutes I could see end to end and it was beautiful. It lasted about 15 minutes and I did happen to get a photo of it. I didn't have to do my walk in the rain after all....

Love the story. I love drinking coffee on my front porch. A rainbow would make it really special.

Very cool. I felt like I was sitting on the porch with you enjoying my cup of coffee and admiring the rainbow. Wonderful.

Child Care

Tuesday, June 15, 2010

I babysit for 3 little children in our neighborhood and I just love it. I don't watch them on a regular basis, just when Mom/Dad need to do an errand or doctor appts. They are 2 1/2, 1 1/2, and 9 months (not related). Yesterday I watched the 2 1/2 yr old for 4 hours. Where do kids get all of their energy? She is just dancing, hopping, singing and moving all of the time. It is a good thing because I do these things with her and get in lots of exercise. Maybe I should count that on my cardio emoticon

It's really nice you can watch them. Gives you something to do and helps them! I guess you CAN track it, LOL

Happy Flag Day

Monday, June 14, 2010

HAPPY FLAG DAY everyone. Remember to thank our military for the great job they are doing to protect us and our families. If you see someone in uniform, go up and shake their hand and give thanks. Pray for a safe return to all serving our country in those far off lands. Fly your FLAG today. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
