HAPPY FLAG DAY everyone. Remember to thank our military for the great job they are doing to protect us and our families. If you see someone in uniform, go up and shake their hand and give thanks. Pray for a safe return to all serving our country in those far off lands. Fly your FLAG today.
Yesterday I didn't walk until 10:00 and the weather was too hot for me. I usually walk between 6:30 and 7:30. This a.m. I went at 7:00, walked for almost an hour and I was completely soaked by the time I returned. It is even hotter/more humid than yesterday. I came back from walk, sat on front porch, drank 2 glasses of water and had a cup of watermelon balls and a yogurt. I was still perspiring when I got done with that. I read the paper and then came inside. I think the inside will be my abode for the day
It is mid 90's today. It is too hot to do anything except stay inside. I walked today, but didn't go early as usual. I will not make that mistake again. I walked at 10:00 but gardening first. Too hot to walk that late.
Every morning my walking buddy and I go for our walk. We walk from 3 to 5 miles daily, usually more like 3-4. We talk, walk and just have a great time. Well, today she left for a trip to Wisconsin for 2 1/2 weeks. I never used to like to walk and turned down walking groups so many times. My husband had back surgery in March and we started walking. I have been walking ever since. Can't say that I have learned to LOVE walking (because I haven't), but have learned I WANT to do it. I always feel so much better after my walk and cooling down. I know walking is good for me and helps my body in so many ways. I didn't hesitate to walk this morning even without my buddy. I hope I keep the same frame of mind.
