Tall tomato plants

My tomato plants are really tall. Compare the size of the plant to me. I am 5'3 so I am guessing the plants are at least 6' tall. I took some pictures of some of the tomatoes too.

wow, I love newly picked tomatoes. That's one thing I miss about my childhood, we could always go out door and pick a tomato in the summer. We get such a small amount of sun that that don't grow very big and don't ripen. Report Inappropriate Comment

Hibiscus Christmas Tree

This hibiscus kind of looks like a Christmas tree. Look at the "star" on top and then all of the "ornaments" (buds getting ready to bloom) on the "tree"



After putting the pic on the blog, the "ornaments" aren't really as noticeable as in the actual picture.

I have been getting some strange looking things in my garden this year. I posted a few days ago the "tomato Face" and today I am posting my "Tomato Pinwheel". Look how the inside is separated from the sides of the tomato. Looks like a pinwheel to me. lol...lol...

My Sweet Little Tomato Face and Mr. Butternut Squash

Isn't this just the cutest little tomato face ever. I was in the yard with my buddy and she pointed to this tomato and showed me it's face. What do you think we should name her?????






Now here is a picture of Mr. Butternut Squash....Remember how small the leaves were when I first posted a picture of my plants?

My Walking Buddy is Visiting

Good morning and HAPPY WEEKEND to all of you Beach Belles. My friend from NC is coming to visit for a few days and I am really excited about that. She was my walking buddy before I moved back to VA so I know we will get in some walking. I really miss her because we did lots of things together. When Hubby and I would go somewhere overnight, she would come to our house and spend the night with Brewster (our chocolate lab) and think nothing of it. We had lots of dinners together and I could always count on her to be my really good friend. We went shopping and sat by the lake talking many a day and evening. She has been to visit us several times since our move here in Dec.
I am so happy she is coming.
