Too hot

Tuesday, June 28, 2011

It is too hot and humid today. I worked in the yard for 2 hours this morning, but came in at noon. Hubby was cutting edges around trees and flower beds. I was working the dirt after he did that. WAY too hot to be doing that. I don't know how anyone works outside in this weather. Temps were over 90, but humidity was WET........

We've had the opposite here in MN lately. It's suppose to change townards the end of the week. I've been getting all of the outside work done before then. If I don't have to work in it, I love it.

It's been like that in TN, too, but today it rained most of the day and that helped so much! I don't know how you worked out in it for so long...I'm doing well to work for 20-30 minutes at a time!

My First Day at Curves

Monday, June 27, 2011

Well, it has been over 6 years since I went to Curves on a very regular basis or at all. Today, I started back with my FREE membership benefit from my insurance company. I had my measurements done and was shown how all of the machines work. Things are a lot different from when I went previously. I am thinking I am going to really enjoy doing this. It will also give me a chance to meet people. We just moved here in Dec. and we have met some but not a lot of people. Hope everyone has a great day. We are going to the YMCA now and check it out. Our insurance benefit isn't just for one place to go exercise.....I can go to any on the list at any time. I don't have to sign up for just one. Yay..........

We'd be a healthier nation if all insurance companies would pay for gym memberships!

I love your attitude towards exercise.

That is very cool, I wish my insurance covered my gym, boy can they get expensive, I ended my membership for the summer, since it's nice out I am using the outdoors as my gym for now.

Good for you. I also go to Curves. I used to go every day and then stopped about two years ago. I started again this March. I've met a lot of new people including my neighbor.

I have been waiting for this......

Thursday, June 23, 2011

Well, today in the mail I got my gym membership card from my health insurance company.....it is FREE with my insurance. There are lots of gyms listed and I didn't realize until I got this information today that it also includes Curves. There is absolutely no cost to me at all. It starts on July 1. I have a Curves less than 2 blocks from me. I am so HAPPY about this. YAY...YAY... emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon Can you tell I am happy about this????????

I was a member of Curves before moving to NC and went faithfully. I didn't go in NC. Now that I am back in VA I am happy that I can go and not have to pay a fee.......and that is is so close. YAY.....

What a wonderful benefit! I am amazed at what some companies will do for their employees...you obviously work at a great place for them to put together an insurance package like this. (Still hoping for ANY insurance myself!) Go and take great advantage of this wonderful opportunity!

You sure can't beat that! If you choose something other than Curves so you and L can go together, then when we come visit, we can get a guest pass and not miss working out :-) If not, we'll just walk and do wii games!

Lazy Day

Tuesday, June 21, 2011

I seem to be having a lazy day today. I did work in the yard/garden for 2 hours, washed one load of clothes, but nothing else. I just feel lazy. I think I may just take a LAZY DAY. Tomorrow I won't be lazy, I think I will clean house. Sometimes you can put off until tomorrow what you could have done today.

It's about time you took a break, Nancy. You're always on the go. Your body is just telling you to relax a little. Of course, if you're having heat like we are that will do it for you too. Take care and enjoy your day!

Hugs,

Lainie
