I worked in the yard for 5 hours this morning. Yesterday, Hubby tilled a patch for me to plant in and I planted 13 Nandina plants.....the kind that gets berries in winter. I love them and they are so much fun to decorate with. They get large grape-like clusters of red berries and they can be used in so many decorations at Christmas. At my last house, one in particular had so many clumps of berries it looked like a Christmas tree decorated in my yard. Everyone commented on it. I also fertilized all of the potted plants as well as the plants that are planted in the ground. Also, hoed my little garden to get it weeded and fertilized it too. Some of the green beans I planted did not come up, so I replanted them too. My tomatoes are doing REALLY well. My squash plants are up and starting to grow. They will grow so fast.... I don't have much space for my garden this year, but plant to make it a little larger next year.

Today I had two more friends come to visit. They are both ladies that I grew up with. We had a nice visit. Hubby went to play golf for the evening and us ladies went to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner. I ate well, I had salad bar and was very careful as to what I put on it. A salad can sometimes be more calories than a whole meal. I was good. AND I enjoyed it.

Well, I had a great weekend. My long-time friend (over 50 years) came for a visit and children came for cookout. Today, Hubby went to play golf and Mom went to senior center. What did Nancy do? Changed all of the bed clothes including mattress covers and pillow protectors. Also moved mattress and box springs from one bedroom to another. Washed 5 loads of clothes (no problem). Also we went by garage door opener store to get a new opener. We ordered it and scheduled the installation and when we got home, the garage door opened like it was supposed to. That appointment got cancelled. We also went to Lowes before Hubby went to play golf. The rest of the day until everyone was home, I only "sparked" and talked on the phone. I hardly ever have a day that I don't do a lot of things.Our house is really long and I know I get a lot of steps going back and forth. I guess I did a lot of steps doing the clothes and running errands because I already have 9,981 steps.
Getting ready to fix dinner. We are having talapia, leftover potato salad, freshly sliced tomatoes, apple sauce, and cantaloupe.

This weekend a life=long friend came to visit with us. We have been friends for over 50 years and have kept in touch. Yesterday, daughter-in-law called and said let's have a cookout, so they are coming over today. I love people coming to visit. So, this a.m. I am making potato salad, deviled eggs, cole slaw and a dessert. We will grill out. I am so happy to have several people here. I will make the salads as healthy as possible. The most important thing is to pick what you really want to eat and CONTROL the portions.
