Thanks

Thursday, May 19, 2011

I would like to say thank you to all that commented on my new kitchen. We absolutely love it.

Today, hubby tototilled around a tree in the front yard and I planted 8 hostas around it. I then planted some marigolds in the back yard. We worked mostly in the back yard today. AFter the marigolds, I planted 3 hills of squash and a row of green beans. I love doing a few veggies. We planted the tomato plants a little early and just had to watch for the frost warnings. We were safe. We now have some tomatoes the size of a golf ball. They have been planted for more than a month. We have so much to do in the yard that we aren't ;planning a large garden. Just a few things to have on hand.

Remember to eat healthy, drink your water, exercise and TRACK your food. It really works.

my garden is already overgrown, never quite got around to laying out the rows for salad fixings... need to transplant my tomato plants and set up the trellis.

Sounds wonderful! The groundhogs ate my tomato plants down to the ground!

I'm so jealous. I just got my garden tilled yesterday and still can't even consider planting anything until maybe a week more. So depressing. Enjoy your garden and the little sprouts when they pop up.

Old kitchen/New kitchen

Wednesday, May 18, 2011

We have been working really hard renovating the home we moved into in December.

Here is a picture of the old kitchen:

Here is a picture of the new kitchen: We still have to grout the tile and put the switch/outlet covers on

We even put a handle on the trash can to match the ones we put on the doors and drawers

Wow, I love it. I sure wish I had a kitchen like that. I have a pretty big kitchen, but no counter space and not enough cabinets. I really love what you've done.

Hugs,

Lainie

New Food tracker

Wednesday, May 18, 2011

I like how much faster the newest food tracker is. I just used it for the first time yesterday and it is a lot quicker after you have your foods in the list. Iit is a lot easier to use.

Eat healthy, track your food, exercise and drink your water.

Have a great day tomorrow.

Hope you have a great evening! Take care!

Storms

Tuesday, May 17, 2011

We sure have had a lot of storms last few days. Last night really active thunder and lightning. This a.m. we had storms really early. It has rained 2 3/4" since last night. My daughter had 4" in a very short time. Son said so much rain in a short time at his home that the county was coming out and cleaning up some of the mess. It sure knocked the blooms off of my flowers in pots and in the ground. I should have moved the pots to a closed off area. I am sure they will rejuvenate.

Hubby and I went to dentist today for regular cleaning and checkup. Since we just moved here, this is the first time to visit this dentist. She is female and young. Just had a baby 3 weeks ago. Couldn't believe she was back at work so soon. The office was very nice and everything really up to date. All of the staff was courteous. Special coffee pot in reception that brews each cup of coffee on demand. It also does water for tea or hot chocolate. We both had good reports except hubby had one filling that had a little chip and got that repaired. Didn't need any novacaine.

Enough of that.......eat healthy, track your food, exercise and drink your water.

Rainy Day today

Monday, May 16, 2011

I love rainy days since we have retired. Nice and relaxing. Well, we couldn't do any outside work today because of the rain. It is a nice steady rain and good for our flowers and veggie plants. Hubby and I are organizing files today. Since we moved here in December, we have different utilities and other things from our last house. We are making new folders and getting everything filed. We have been so busy with all of the renovations and outside work, I have been putting off doing any paperwork. I would never have believed that I would let paperwork go for that long a time. We are cleaning out the old and putting in the new files and papers.

Didn't walk today, but am getting lots of steps in with going up and down the stairs to the bonus room. Also, washing clothes so that is lots of steps too.

Remember to eat healthy, exercise, track your food, and drink your water.
