HAPPY EASTER

Want to wish all of you a very HAPPY EASTER. This year for dinner will be Me, hubby, Mom, PINKNFITCARLA, my granddaughter, cousin and her s/o. I am cooking and I LOVE to do it. I just finished coloring the eggs to make a centerpiece for tomorrow's table. Also, I am making an Easter basket for Mom (86 years old). She will really like that.

Another gardening day

Today I worked in the yard LOTS. I mowed the lawn, did some trimming and pulled some weeds. I used the dandelion "getter" to take out some that the weed killer missed. I love working in the yard and would do it every day. Forgot all about doing something for dinner so hubby said we should go out. I hesitated and then said I would find something. I did and it was pretty good. Stayed home, ate healthy, and saved some money.

Remember to eat healthy, exercise, and drink your water.

Friend Came Yesterday

Yesterday, I got a phone call from a friend where we lived over five years ago. Her husband was at a small local airport near us. He was supposed to take his plane home after repair. The weather wasn't so good, so she asked if he could stay with us last night. We told her sure. Hubby went to pick him up and Mom and I stayed here. It was dinner time, so Mom and I went ahead and ate. Luckily I had made spaghetti sauce for dinner. I did have to cook extra noodles and make another salad while hubby went to fetch him. All turned out well, we had extra toothbrushes/toiletries. We had someone stay over weekend and I had just changed the sheets on guest room bed (Luckily, I didn't have to put that together really quick). We had a really nice visit and we took him back to the airport this morning. He called later today and said his flight home was great (about 1/2 hr). His plane is 57 urs old and looks like brand new.

Tornado

We moved here to Waynesboro, VA last December from Sanford, NC. Yesterday, a tornado went through the town we moved from and was very damaging. The Lowe's Home Improvement store was completely destroyed as were other buildings. The community we lived in has no power and may not have any until Tuesday. Please keep the people in these bad weather area in you prayers.

Thankfully everyone in CL is okay. That's horrible about Lowe's and the other buildings. The weather has been horrible over a large part the US and then the East Coast the past 2 days. The NWS said there was over 300 tornadoes in 3 days. Report Inappropriate Comment
