Radio Flyer Wagon

Tuesday, October 12, 2010

We are moving in December. I am so happy we will be close to LOTS of stores. We have been talking about walking everywhere or maybe biking or maybe getting a Radio Flyer wagon to pull our items back home after purchase. I just checked my email and a friend sent me this link. It is hilarious. Especially since I just spoke of the little red wagon in a post I wrote on my team thread. PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO.....It is so great.

That was very cute... When my grandsons were born.. my husband and I looked every where for a wagon.. We finally found one and my daughter would put all the kids in (3) and go to the store and come home that way... The town they were in was a very small town.. it mostly went up..LOL so she had to pull that wagon full of kids up hill half the time... she was in great shape then too....

I love Spark People

Sunday, October 10, 2010

I am so glad my daughter got me interested in Spark People. I so enjoy the recipes and have made lots of them. I have always been a person to read cookbooks to the point my husband asked me not to read the book to him too. lol...lol...The articles that we are able to read on this website regarding health issues is so educating. I am sure some have discovered something wrong with them or someone they know because of this useful information. I remember years ago I read that women that watched the doctor soap operas had actually realized soemthing was not right in their health and went to the doctor for treatment. I have also met lots of new spark friends and have enjoyed learning how people cope with different things. There is always someone to talk with for support. This site is truly amazing. emoticon Nancy

Full Day

Friday, October 08, 2010

Got up early this morning, drank my coffee, ate breakfast and went to my physical therapy. When I came home, I went next door at noon to watch my little 3-year-old neighbor. She was watching Beauty and the Beast. Since I hardly ever watch a movie, I sat with her for this one. After the movie, she went down for a nap and I almost did too......lol...lol.. When she got up she wanted to go to our house to spend time with Mr. Larry (hubby) and Brewster (chocolate lab) which we did. While here, we sang, colored, danced and sat peacefully for about 1/2 hour to watch the birds in the back yard. I just love watching her and we have so much fun. I can't believe some of the things she comes up with. She fixed us pretend food with absolutely nothing.....just pretend everything. We had chicken, mashed potatoes, green beens, pizza with pepperoni, and a quiche. All of her dishes were at home and she didn't mind that she was the chef with no tools. She just pretend mixed, stirred, she used the end table drawer for the oven and the clock on the table for the timer. What a hoot, I just love her to pieces.WE had our dinner and Mom came home while we were eating.

Sparktoberfest Team

Wednesday, October 06, 2010

I am on the Sweet Tarts team for this Ruby challenge called 2nd Annual Sparktoberfest. I love the team I am on and the challenges we have each day. The team is quite chatty on the team thread. We are learning a lot about each other and offering recipes that we have tried, so others may enjoy them. We offer support to each other in the good and bad times. The challenge lasts until the end of the month and I am really enjoying it. Nancy

Another Beautiful Day

Monday, October 04, 2010

Today was absolutely another beautiful day. Temps were nice with a breeze. This morning I had my P/T appointment and then hubby went for eye exam. Neither of us thought about his eyes being dilated and very sensitive to light even with dark glasses. AND we didn't think about my not being able to drive because of my shoulder surgery. We kind of joked and I told him he could drive and I would guide. Then I said I could drive but he would have to change gears and make the turns. Well, everyone know HE ended up driving and just squinting a lot. I felt bad because he always goes with me so I don't have to drive with dilated eyes. He is just so sweet that he didn't seem to be bothered by it at all. He is the best.......... Nancy

Again, you're reminded what a great hubby! I went to my last eye exam by myself. Instead of dialating my eyes, they took a digital picture. Now they'll keep that on file and can compare what they see year over year.
