What true treasures my Spark friends are. They SPARK me.
These last few days have been taking care of odds and ends like paying taxes, bills and such.
Yes I made it through the holidays, nothing special is planned for New Year's.
A slight bit of reflection of the past few weeks: my sister said I made the meal prep look effortless.
Simplifying, experiment, planning, scheduling, and delegating was key.
That made everything go smoothly, without stress. Plus I already had it in my mind that it did NOT have to be perfect.
Although it is a bit late I need to set my goals and finalize my plans for the New Year.
How can I make it happen?
The KISS method. Keep It Simple Silly
Experiment - Trying new things opens up the possibility of discovering new favorites. This applies to all aspects of my life.
See opportunities instead of obstacles.
My middle son wakes me at before 6am on the weekends. Yikes.. Oh well I can get some exercise in. Instead of being cranky about being up so early, the exercise energizes me.
Schedule my priorities. Make time to make it happen. Planning my menu saves me time and money.
You all know those luncheon dates that never happen... unless you pull out the calendar and set a date. I'm signing up for Water Walking so you will find me at the pool on Monday and Wednesday night.
Tuesday and Thursdays, during January I will be attending healthy events at a local market. Like "Cooking without oil" "Vegan Dishes"
Find ways to share meal planning, shopping, exercise. It is more enjoyable if everyone joins in in some way and makes it happen.
More details need to be worked out. Some options for the beginning of 2012:
- Reviewing Beck's
- Diabetes 8 week challenge
- 21-Day Vegan Kickstart (starts Jan 2) (thanks NP)
