Never Would Have Made It!!!!!

Thursday, August 14, 2008

Thank you Lord...I've made it!!!!

I have accomplished my first weight loss goal...When I saw the scale this morning, I stood there in awe...It is has been a long journey. This past year has been filled with many hills and many, many valleys, but through it all!!!! I learned to trust him more

And a special thanks to all my SP Buddies who have been there for me this past year.

Love ya much

Lynn

Never would have made it, never could've made it, without you
I would have lost it all, but now I see how you were there for me
And I can say
Never would have made it,
Never could have made it,
Without you
I would have lost it all,
But now I see how you were there for me and I can say
I'm stronger, I'm wiser, I'm better, much better,
When I look back over all you brought me thru.
I can see that you were the one that I held on to
And I never
[Chorus] - Never would have made it
Oh I never could have made it
[Chorus] - Never could have made it without you
Oh I would have lost it all, oh but now I see how you were there for me
I never
[Chorus] - Never would have made it
No, I never
[Chorus] - Never could have made it without you
I would have lost my mind a long time ago, if it had not been for you.
I am stronger
[Chorus] - I am stronger
I'm wiser
[Chorus] - I'm wiser
Now I'm better
[Chorus] - I'm better
So much better
[Chorus] - Much better

I love this song. When I first heard him sing this I cried because as I thought about my past I know it was only God who brought me though it all. I give God the glory and the praise. I thank Him even when I am feeling bad, I thank Him even when the scale don't move. I really believe that God is going to make a change in my Life.

P.S.
I will have a praise dance preformed off of this song for my wedding.

Commanding the Mornings

Thursday, July 24, 2008

I read this today and it blessed me beyond belief...so I thought I would share it with some of those most dearest to me....

Commanding the Mornings

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favor is life:weeping may endure a night, but joy cometh in the morning.(psalms 30:5 KJV)

No one wants there night season to last longer than one night, but the fact remains that sometimes we have to go through for more than one night. The sad thing about it is, most believers wait around for the morning of their lives.

Hast thou commanded the morning. Since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place; (Job 38:12KJV)

Job decleared you need to command the morning. I admonish you don't wait around for morning to come declare that your night season is over and your morning is here

Speak life and live....

Peace and Blessings

20 Years Later....Funny How Time Flies!!!!

Wednesday, June 25, 2008

This weekend I attended my 20 year class reunion and I had the time of my life. Although less than 1/2 of the graduating class showed up for the reunion it was truly a blessing to see old friends and to reconnect.....

I am looking forward to the next 20 years.....

Peace and Blessings

Prayer Request!!

Monday, June 02, 2008

James 5:16
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much....

It has always been my desire to teach, but I never pursued it, because in all honesty...I have always felt that teachers were underpaid and when I was looking at my career options, I opted for money and not personal fulfillment!!!! WHOW, have I learned a valuable lesson.

Well, the Lord has opened up an opportunity for me to teach online as an Adjunct Professor. I will be spending the next 3 days being evaluated by full-time professors on my ability to effectively facilitate an online course in Business Ethics....The Lord said that he would give us the desires of our heart...I am believing the Lord for this position, as it will open up the door for me to transition out of Cooperate America and into the education arena. I believe now is the appointed season.

Thank you for your prayers....

Peace and Blessings

Lynn

Just reviewing your journey and reading some of your blogs...This educator is inspired by your diligence and love of the Lord. I reckon that you are an AKA (like my big sis)...I am a DELTA DIVA :)...but we have a lot in common, i.e. I WILL wear SHORTS this summer, I am 1 class and a dissertation shy of earning my Ed.D., I have dealt with divorce and am happily married to my soul mate, and I too endeavor to be a professor after 12 years as a teacher and assistant principal intern.

Continue believing and achieving...without faith, it is impossible to please Him...(Slim's accountability partner)

We are in the same boat...I have always wanted to teach. When I was younger I wanted to teach elementary school but then my sister was born and I thought if students are like her then elementary school is not for me. Then after I taken Financial Accounting in High School, I thought yeah that is what I want to do..Then I had everyone tell me, high school students are crazy you should look into taking teaching at a community college. I did. I taught Financial Accounting for three semesters...I had a blast. I know in my heart that is something that I want to do but at this time I am just not ready to take the pay cut. I have applied again to teach on a part-time level. Hopefully they will give me a call.

Could luck to you on this journey. I know you will do a wonderful job.
