p2 Friendly "Chocolate Covered Apple Bites"

I modified this recipe and made it vlcd friendly. Its called chocolate covered apple bites. You need about 2-3 tbl of chocolate delite made to your liking, 1 apple chopped into chunks,1 grissini stick coarsely ground (or you can use mac nuts if you use them), toothpicks. Directions: you take your apple chunks and put a tooth pick in each if them, dap off excess juice with a paper towel, dip each apple in chocolate delite and then dip them in the grissini crumbs (or ground mac nuts). Place all on a paper plate and refrigerate until set. If anyone try's this, please let me know if you like it, i gave some to my friend who is not on hcg and she thought they were pretty good!!!

Whoo Hoo!!!!!!! I am so happy today i could run a marathon, that is if i had the energy. Im on p2 vlcd day 5 and am back to my last rounds LIW. It was really bothering me that i was 9 lbs over my last rounds LIW and now i'm reassured that i will weigh allot less when ending this round. Hopefully i will burst into the 180's this round.

BBQ Kabobs on p2

Today some friends and i decided to make kabobs and cocktails and sit around the pool and relax. They are very supportive of me losing weight so one of my friends came up with the idea to put one type of meat and one type of vegetable on each kabob stick, we put 25 grams of meat on each stick with allot of veges. We used chicken, shrimp, and steak as our meats and onions, peppers, and cherry tomatoes as our veggies. They had margaritas and i filled my glass with crushed ice and cranberry crystal light mixed with diet sprite. All in all i had a great time, and got to eat 4 kabobs, without having to feel left out or deprived. I ate the shrimp with red onions earlier and now i' m about to eat the chicken with tomato for dinner. I guess the steak will have to wait until tomorrow. :-) :-)

Started a new round and update on former weight loss!!

I recently started a new round on 7-18-11 and i am excited about that also this time i' m not alone, a family friend has joined me this round so that should really help keep me dedicated and on track. Nothing wrong with a little friendly competition :-) . My last round ended with my Last injection weight being 217.2, and i began this round at 226.2 (227.6 after loading 2 days) yeah i know i gained 9lbs and i' m not proud of it but the only thing i can do is pick up the pieces, remember where i messed up so i wont make those mistakes again and do better. I'm also setting mini goals within my regular weight loss goal to help keep me motivated. Here is my first goal If i weigh 214 or less by 7-31-11 then i will treat myself to a manicure and pedicure at this new spa near my house that i have been wanting to try out. It is extremely hard for me to keep the weight off after losing it. At the beginning of P4 everything was going smoothly and toward the end before starting this new round things got out of hand i was practically living off of steak days which was so darn frustrating. Its hard watching yourself slowly gaining all the weight you loss right back. So i' m really going to have to be careful in P4 next time around, For me its the hardest part of HCG because every other phase is set in stone and in p4 your really on your own and things can quickly get out of hand.....

    Jibbie - your hubby sounds hilarious and gifted with that metabolism. I'd sit there and secretly come up with ways to slowly kill him but I'm sure you love him and wouldn't do that :)

Mystic - I wish you luck this round around. I'm on my first day of P3 and I'm so scared of gaining that I wouldn't dare have 1500 calories today - I just started out at 1000. I read the label for everything, weigh everything, track everything - before I cook, while I'm cooking, I'm sitting there with a calculator and my nutritional tracker up logging everythig before I put it in the pan. Sad huh? I just worked too hard on this to gain that weight back...

I have made a Huge Mistake!!!!

Im in P4 and have been out of town for about two weeks and have been maintaining my weight loss fine. I forgot my scale so i went to walmart and got a cheaper one, big mistake I got back home last night and when i weighed myself on my regular scale this morning i was 5 lbs over my LIW so i started to think something was wrong because i really have not been eating alot of junk food the past few days atleast not enough to make me have a 5 lb gain overnight. So i decided to weight myself on the scale i bought at walmart and both scales have about a 3 lb difference between the 2 of them so i really dont know how long i have been over my LIW ( hope i am making since). So im going to do a steak day tonight and probaby tomorrow depending on what my regular scale says tomorrow morning. My question is is it too late to do a steak day if it is not done the day needed( in other words have i really screwed up?)

    Dr. Simeon says in "Pounds and Inches" to do the Steak Day on the day you are over 2# of you LIW, but since you didn't know, do it today and work on getting the five pounds back off. Have you been drinking enough water/decaf tea? Have you been drinking a lot of diet soda? That can make you retain fluid. Just get back on a routine and do some walking if you have time, so to help your circulation. emoticon

    I don't think it's too late. Last year during my phase four I went through something similar. I gained about four pounds and didn't do a steak do til about five or six days later, and I was fine. Just do a steak day, then focus on high protein, high healthy fats the following days til you go back to your last vlcd.

  I completely bloat up when I travel. I have no idea why but it happens every time. Give it a day or two at home and see if it balances out.

    might be just water...I have been holding a lot of water the last couple of I hear traveling can also do something to your weight.
