DATE: 1/29/13
TIME: 7:45PM
WHERE: on post
DISTANCE: 2.77 miles
COMPANY: with Lilly (dog)
TOTAL TIME: 35:13min
PACE: 12:30 min/mile
HEART RATE: 161-168 bpm
HEART RATE PERCENTAGE: 87-91%
CALORIES BURNED: 420
WEATHER CONDITIONS: cold, wet, drizzling dark--perfect!
OVERALL EXPERIENCE: This was my maiden voyage with my new Garmin 410 that my hubby ordered me--i am IN LOVE! I realized that I am a lazy runner--most of the time i don't even get up to 75% of my possible heart rate--how lame is that? I watched where my heart rate was most of the time and found that it was easier to run faster then before (granted my 97lb dog was also helping me out). I'm so happy to have this new toy--it totally gives me hope that I can run and track and know what good I'm actually doing for my body. SO AWESOME!!

Nice! I recently upgraded to the 610. Take a look at the foot pod. Focusing on cadence (steps per minute) will also help make you a better runner, one less likely to get injured.
