When I work out 30 minutes (or more) a day, every single day, and watch my food (don't give in to cravings) - I lose weight! How simple is that?

Increased activity + less empty calorie food intake = weight loss

Gee..... I might be on to something revolutionary here!!!

Five Pounds GONE! Keep it up, Girl! Just 15 more to go.....

Plateau - Something's Gotta Change!

This has to change - the scale hasn't moved for three months. That tells me that I am just maintaining - And I need to be losing! I'm getting lots of fruit, veggies and tons of water in every single day - So what else can I change?

I need to up my game, scrutinize my diet - just giving up wine will spare me 200-400 empty calories daily. I'll replace it with skim milk. And I need the extra calcium anyway.

I can do this - I know I can. Daily workouts - If I eat that day - I have to workout that day at least 30 minutes.

OK - reality check - this won't change overnight, for for Day Two... I'm on a roll!

    emoticon... yes, emoticon... I am still trying to figure it myself. Have you also taken your measurements?... I noticed that although the scale hasn't moved for me in a month, I have lost 2.5 inches!

    You can do it! I just broke a plateau by going to an easy yoga class twice a week and getting a lot of stress out of my life - you never know what little change will jumpstart your results back up, so hang in there!

It's a struggle to stay motivated

It's easy for me to get off the exercise mode. I get up at 5:30 as it is... and after a 10-hour work day, I am so tired and brain dead. I KNOW that's exactly when the ellipical/treadmill is calling my name - to destress, gain energy, tone up and lose the fat. BUT IT'S SO HARD. I am a morning exerciser - but when I have to be at work at 7:00am - it's hard to fit in. I work until 6:00pm most days.

So, I signed up for a Salsa class on Wednesdays! That leaves me 3 more days to find SOME form of accountable exercise. I know, I'll air up the tires on my bike. Run the bayou either Saturday or Sunday.

A good start! Let's make happen, Girl!!!

    It is hard, but there are ways to sneak exercise in. Here are some suggestions that may help you:

- get a jump rope (... take it to work and find a place to jump)

- walk the stairs at work. ( I use cardio coach on my mp3 player and walk to the 6 floor, up and down, slow fast, etc.)

- buy a hula hoop and hoop as little as 10 minutes will really get your HR up

- If you use dvd workouts, Tony Horton has an excellent series called "Ten minute Trainer... it even includes "on the go cards" for when you can't use the dvd player.

- dance at home with the salsa moves that you learn in class, put on a song and dance, dance, dance! emoticon

Remember that you don't have to exercise for 30 minutes straight to get results, break it up throughout the day when you can, it all adds up... I hope this helps... ~ Dee

    I struggle with the same thing - it's amazing how hard it can be to get back on track after missing even just one morning workout. The bed surely calls my name that early!

2012 and a New Blank Page

I have always liked ringing out the old and bringing in the new year! I guess it's a time to reflect, rejoice and refocus. For me, the new year is an opportunity to start fresh, begin anew, wipe the slate clean.

So, what exactly do I want to accomplish in 2012? Lose 30 pounds? Workout 3 days - off 1? Focus on clean eating and cutting out processed foods? Take up a new sport/fitness activity?

Hummm, if I know myself, I'll try to start on all and by Valentine's Day I'll be burnt out....

BRING SEXY BACK
