I have been determined - just one thing since before Thanksgiving - to not GAIN weight over the holidays. Just maintain. So far, so good. I have splurged - a total of 3 pumpkin and 2 pecan pie slices over six weeks. And a couple of candy canes - that's it. I've been keeping to a salad for one meal a day.
Well, I'm off work until Monday, January 4, 2010. And I have to decided to jump-start my fitness/diet program by working out every day I'm off. Day two and I feel so much better!
I haven't been to work out since JULY due to a major foot injury. It's funny - I still can't power-walk, but I can jog. My therapist said that's because walking uses the toes and jogging uses the calf muscles.... strange! But so far, it's working! I just have pain when I'm walking to warm up, but once I start to jog, I'm fine. I did 1.5 miles yesterday, 2 today and hope to work back up to 4 miles by 1/4/10.
