Lost in the Grocery Store

Monday, March 25, 2013

Last night I went shopping in my local grocery store with a shopping list, but different items for my new plan. I couldn't find anything!!!!! It took a lot longer and I spent a fortune, but I did it! I'm motivated and going to make this happen. I never knew that shopping in my favorite grocery store could be such a challenge.

Made it!!!!!

Hi Spark friends,

Just wanted to share some good I reached a goal that I attempted once and got it right this week. I walked 15 miles in a week. Here's how I did it:

Tue 2
Wed 1.82 Love the maps on Sparkpeople that tell you to the hundredths place.
Thur 2
Fri 0....big storm
Sat 3.88
Sun 1.35
Mon .5, 2 and 2 started walking and saw lightening...went home and did a two mile walking video. After work, walked two more miles with the family.

It was a little here and a chunk there. An epic fail on one day and I still made it! I hope you are inspired to set a goal and make it happen! You can do it too!!!!

Go sparkfriends!!!!

Fantastic! Obstacles? It’s funny that when we focus on our goal obstacles can’t stop up.

You’re living out:
Revelation 12:11 “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.”

Focusing on the Positive

Monday, June 27, 2011

This week I am really trying to crank it up by focusing on exercise because when I exercise, I don't feel like eating as much. What a win-win!!! I haven't been able to get back in the mode of tracking everything I eat, but my plan is to focus on small changes I can make. I'm focusing on positive actions to reduce the negative and destructive choices. Started the morning with a long family walk. Great time to chat and to get fit!!!! Oh and teach my kids the importance of being active.

small changes are the pathway to success. too many ppl want to change everything all at once, get overwhelmed and well give up. and kudoos for making time to talk to your kids about making healthy choices. healthy kids have so much more self esteem!

Good for you. When the big things are overwhelming, focusing on the small things can get you to your destination. Hang in there.

All is Not Lost

Monday, May 16, 2011

All is not lost, or at least that is what I keep telling myself. This weekend was awful...I didn't track a thing and I ate a ton. We had a party to go to on Saturday and one on Sunday. So, instead of dwelling on this disastrous weekend. I'll just focus on three things for today.

1. If I bite it, I will write it.
2. Water, water, water. (Even though a Venti Chai would really make my day)
3. Get some sleep.

That's today's simple to do list. I'll stay focused on it!

We all mess up sometimes. Thank God for GRACE!! God’s Amazing Grace gives us the ability to move forward in time of struggle. Your to do list is great, and does not too much pressure on yourself. Keep your focus and keep pushing through.

Better Than Before

Sunday, May 08, 2011

Yesterday we went to a Derby party and my horse, Animal Kingdom, won! The hats were awesome! The food was delicious and the mint juleps were the best. Foodwise I did okay. I didn't track, but I definitely made better choices than before I started Sparkpeople and placed my hope in God! Instead of eating cookies and bourbon balls, I ate one chocolate covered strawberry. I loaded my plate with veggies and fruits, but the cheese got the best of me. Afterwards, my wonderful hubby and I went to NuBerri and had yogurt. The toppings got me there, but one thing I really, really liked about the place is that I got to make my yogurt so I didn't have a huge cup I felt obligated to eat! Definitely progress!

Looking forward to a fun day of scrapbooking, grilling with friends, hanging by the pool and church with the family!!!! Have a blessed day!

Keep up the good work! keep your focus ahead of you. If you look in the rearview mirror, you will crash. So, keep your eyes on the road ahead, and continue trucking forward.
