My last time on here was in Feburary. With my back injury I had stopped working out and getting on here. I did however get down to 148 pounds so I lost weight. Im ready to get back into working out although my back and leg issues have not been fully resolved. I have no disc between L4 and L5 where my sciatic nerve comes out. Now I am having problems with my left leg as well as my right. I have been told I can work out doing whatever feels comfortable. I have 20 pounds to lose and I am too close to give up now. Its just with all this down time its hard to get back into a routine I loved so much.

I havent been on because I hurt myself pretty bad and have not been able to work out since the beginning of December. I started a new excersize and was not aware that there was something wrong with my back and my right hip. So now im in pain and really dont understand what is wrong but I will try to explain. The last 5 discs in my back are fused together. And I have what they call Psuedoarticulations in my right hip. Which from what im reading is extra bone in my hip. I have to go see a surgeon on March 11th. Until I find out what is wrong I am limited in what I can do as far as working out. Im in alot of pain all the time regardless. They funny part is that it hurts the most when I sit down in a chair. If I sit it needs to be on a flat surface so that there is no pressure on the back of my leg. My back has started hurting and I think it is because my muscles are getting weak because I am not working out. It was just my leg that hurt until about 3 weeks ago. The good news is that I am not gaining my weight back although I have been eating alot of candy and chocolate. I have to watch my calories better than I have been. I am fluctuation from 155 to 160 which is ok for now. As soon as I can I am going to try to do some walking or something. If anyone has had or does have about the same problems I am having please let me know and what you have done or are doing to help you deal with your physical issues and trying to work out at the same time.

I have been really tired lately and I find I have had a very hard time getting up on
Monday thru Wednesday to work out. I have been working out 4 days a week but not my usual 6. I end up doing my workout Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, which makes Monday my rest day then I dont manage to do another workout until Thursday and my diet is not good. I have been craving sweets and it is hard to say no. I have pretty much maintained my weight but I need to get out of this slump because I have not lost all the weight I want to lose yet.     Dont be discouraged, we all slip a little at times.

If you simply cannot manage your full work out, force yourself to go for 10 minutes of activity, that's an easy target to reach.

Sometimes getting started is the hardest step to take, once you start you'll be back in your routine in no time.

  good luck and emoticon. it is tough especially when you are craving sweets. refocus...get out an old picture or whatever gets your blood moving and stay positive. the end result will so be worth it

Still Making It

It has been a rough 2 months. With a crowded apartment and belly troubles I have had some difficulty keeping up with my workouts. Trying to get back into my routine has proved a little difficult. I love to sit up and watch tv at night because that is basically the only time I have that noone wants me to do something. I also hate getting up in the morning for any reason. So getting up at 5 has proved a little difficult but I working on it. I forget the fact that I really like doing my workout and being ready for work by 7 and having an hour to eat and watch tv and relax before I leave. I have also been cheating on my diet. Out of the 12 pounds that I lost because I was sick I have gained 4 back. I have eating my fair share of sweets too. I plan on buckeling down and getting my diet back under control starting today. And my workout was completed this morning logging in the first morning workout out of four. Hope all my fellow sparkers are having a good week.

I am down to 160.5 pounds but have been sick and having belly issues. I am doing as good a workout as I can but I am in pain most of the time and cannot do abdominal excersizes at all. I am not pushing myself with cardio but I do get up and do it. My appetite is not good either. When I eat I end up hurting. But Im still hanging in there. I lost 8 pounds in the month of September.
