Day 27

Tomorrow is weigh day and I'm not looking forward to it. Suffering an injury earlier in the week has really put me off track. My husband and I are celebrating our 12th anniversary tonight by going out to a nice Italien restaurant and I don't want to feel guilty by loading up on carbs and such but I've heard such good things about this place. I really want to try a variety of things on menu because I don't know when we'll go back.

I am feeling better though. I'm giving it one more day of rest to avoid re-injury. Tomorrow I will get back to it.

I feel bad. I haven't exercised since Monday. Tuesday was intended as a rest day but I planned to do something on Wednesday and Thursday. On the positive, my back is feeling better. I think I'll be able to do something tomorrow for sure. Maybe something tonight.

  


Day 25: Ouch

I don't know what I did but I did something to my back. It hurts everytime I raise my right leg. It sucks. I'm trying to get something started here and now I have to take a break until this sorts itself out. It happened sometime in my sleep, I thought it would go away but now I've slept another night and it still hurts. At least it hurts less today. Hopefully I'll actually be able to exercise tomorrow.

Better to take it easy, than workout and hurt yourself even more. Try an ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil) because it's an anti inflammatory (as long as you're not allergic).

Day 24

I've been keeping my breakfast and lunch meals really small because my husband keeps "surprising" me with take-out. Last night it was pizza again. On the positive side - I ordered a decently healthy option: thin crust, multigrain, loads of veggies and chicken. On the negative - I ate two more pieces than I should have. But it's progress.

Tonight he's promised me that he'll make dinner, and have it on the table early enough that I can do my weight training for the middle of the week.

  


Day 23

So on Monday mornings I don't have to be at work until 10:30. Usually I start exercising at 9:00 and get in about 30 minutes and then I have to get ready to go. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to start earlier. So I did. I got in 45 minutes yesterday and felt good pushing myself to do that rather than just messing around for an extra 15 minutes. Tonight I have to push myself to do something active after work.
