As expected I failed just at the finish line yesterday. I was doing fine until it was time to go home again. I'd been dealing with a headache most of the day so I just wanted something salty to help make it go away. So I grabbed potato chips before I left as a snack. Then once I'd eaten those I let myself believe I'd blown it for the day so I might as well eat as much chinese take out as I wanted, rather than how much I actually needed. I ended the day 400 calories over, no exercise and short on water (I planned to have the last glass with dinner but had Coke instead). I made excuses for myself and let it go. That's my cheat for the week.
Today, we're going out to a pasta restaurant to celebrate my 6 year old's birthday. That means that I again have to be careful through the day (I'm just going to get a salad from the grocery store next door during lunch). I'll skip on the wine tonight and skip on desert. Just pasta for me.
