Day 5

Friday, November 08, 2013

Well I feel human again!
Flu for 2 solid days....ugh.
Bonus, I lost 4 pounds in 2 days......NOT worth it! Lol
Obviously calorie count not a concern as all I had till tonight was broth.

I know most of the weight lost was dehydration, but if any plus is going to come from this I see it as my opportunity to get right back on the wagon with light exercise and calorie counting tomorrow. Maybe I can keep a couple of those pounds off.

Such a positive shift from my old thinking, oh I lost four pounds and deserve a huge amount of comfort carbs now.
Just proves that I am making lifestyle changes, not just going on a diet.

Day 2

Tuesday, November 05, 2013

Well all in all yesterday was a success!
I did not do everything "perfectly" but that is the whole reason I had to restart yesterday.
No more zebra thinking which only leads to if everything isn't done just so then I might as well throw in the towel.
This is not a diet I can be off or on, but instead a lifestyle change.
I worked out, I tracked (even though I went a bit over), and I drank more water.
Instead of giving in to the throw in the towel voice at 9pm that said, today wasn't perfect go ahead and eat whatever you want...start again tomorrow......
I ignored that and instead told myself, you went over, but not by much and you tracked.
You worked out and drank some water, huzzah!
I was rewarded by being 2 pounds down on the scale today! :o)
I will try and stay off the scale until this weekend, but it was a great motivator to see that number this morning.
Now on with day 2, I've been tracking...now to drink some water while I ride my exercise bike
Spark on!

Day 1 Reset!

Monday, November 04, 2013

Well this is it, my new and last day 1.
I'm recommitting, restarting and hitting the reset button! (Lol I think that's all the cliched re words that I can fit in here!)
I'm writing this to remind myself why and when and how I began this and to figure out as I go along, how to make it stick. If it ends up helping anyone else out who is just starting out (or restarting) then that's a bonus!
I have been feeling and seeing a shift in other areas of my life, my relationships, my home life, my finances and even my housekeeping. My health is the area that kept nagging at me from the back of my mind.
After trying to convince myself I didn't know where or how to start, I gave up and came back to what I know works.
The difference this time is that I am committing myself to a healthy lifestyle change/shift, not a "diet" I can go on or off when I reach my goal.
The plan is to make small changes that I can stick to, no foods are "off limits" because I can't think of anything I am willing to give up forever! The idea of foods that are "good" or "bad" is going out the window. No more zebra (black and white) thinking! Moderation/balance is the key.

First small changes:
Exercise 6 days out of 7
Track
Drink more water
I'll be back blogging to count my days since my restart and my progress so I can keep motivating myself and hold myself accountable. :o)

I read a spark success story and loved their motto
If its not challenging you,
It's not changing you!
