My hubby left in August to go to ranger school. Since he has left, I made an enormous effort to loose some weight because he was suffering so much to meet a goal he had, that I should work to meet mine (not suffering of course). So far I have lost:
7lbs overall
4 inches in my abdomin
3.5 inches in my waist
3 inches in my hips
1 inch in my neck
3inches in my glutes
2 inches in my thighs
and 1 inch from my upper arm.
all this equals 17.5 inches overall!! wow!
I am hoping in the next twoish weeks to try and loose three more pounds. We will see, it will just the dedication I have shown so far.
I am extremely thrilled with my sucess so far and can't wait to finally reach my goal weight of around 112. If I just keep up the hard work, this dream will soon be a reality!
Oh ya...and I am back down into 5/6 from 9/10s!!

27 They arrived again in Jerusalem, and while Jesus was walking in the temple courts, the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders came to him. 28 “By what authority are you doing these things?” they asked. “And who gave you authority to do this?”
29 Jesus replied, “I will ask you one question. Answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things. 30 John’s baptism—was it from heaven, or of human origin? Tell me!”
31 They discussed it among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will ask, ‘Then why didn’t you believe him?’ 32 But if we say, ‘Of human origin’ …” (They feared the people, for everyone held that John really was a prophet.)
33 So they answered Jesus, “We don’t know.”
Jesus said, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.”
I just feel an urge to add BOYAHH! at the end of this passage! I love how Jesus knew exacally what to say and gave them a bit of their own medicine....theoretically speaking. I was challenged to read the book of Mark this week (last Sunday) and though I have not finished it yet , I will, it has continuted to open my eyes. Mark writes straight to the point and doesn't sugar coat anything in this book . It just amazes me how he portrays what it was like to be in the company of Jesus back then. Simple, and straight to the point. I love it!
Just before this passage, I actually learned a little more about prayer.
Mark 11:24-25 (New International Version)
Mark 11:24-25
New International Version (NIV)
24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
My favorite quote from this piece of the scripture is "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." we try to put so much emphasis on whether He will or wont answer a request we send Him, but he says If you pray for something, believe you have already recieve it and you will. It just goes to show the power of prayer and how it is a communication line between you and your Savior and each prayer that you pray is a challenge to your faith. What you are asking for , do you truely feel that the Lord will answer it? Think about it. Dig deep into your mind and find out what you truely feel about prayer and modify it to show your faith in your Heavenly Father.
I also love that it says that to be truely forgiven, you must forgive. Is there anyone that you haven't forgiven? Dig into yourself and find out why and work on forgiving them. True forgiveness frees your soul from darkness. I have had to do this many time and each time its like the world was lifted off my shoulder. Don't hold on to anger because all it will do is bring you down and make you bitter. If you don't believe me, give it a try and feel true forgiveness. You will be surprised to see what unforgiveness is holding you back from.
While you are at it, forgive yourself for your past mistakes and move on to make better, healthier decision for yourself.
I am writing as if I am speaking to you the reader, but I am speaking to myself. I am not telling you what you must do, but if you have convictions in this area, feel free to read through and adapt it to your life. I am not a preacher or anything of the sort, I just read this tonight and felt the urge to share it. I hope that these passages touch someone else as they have touched me.

I have been MIA for a while due to preparations for our recent move to Columbus, GA (Ft. Benning area). We are here until around December when we make, yet, another move to Ft. Stewart, Hinnesville, GA. I was happy to see that there is a Columbus, GA spark team and of course, I quickly joined it. I really hope it brings the same type of connections that the Polk County Team did. I wasn't as active as I wanted to be in the Polk County Team but it did link me up with some wonderful people and I hope the same for this team. I am trying to find new friends in this area, and for me that has always been tough. Luckily, I already know someone here from a mutual friend and my husband has been talking to the guys in the same training as he is and it seems most of the wives are in the same boat as me, so maybe soon I will have that support system built up. I really do need to find a local church to be a part of too. I would really like to be a part of one again. The fun stuff....job hunting....errrrr is proving to be a difficult task. So there are challenges and joys to this move.
The major plus side to this city is that there are about three parks close by that I can walk/run/hike and we are heading to a Canyon later today (I woke up and can't fall back asleep and its 3am). I am excited about exploring this area, the hubby and I think we may like it a little too much seeing that it isn't permanent, but who knows, maybe we will be back here again after we leave in December.

Measurements
stayed the same: weight, bust,
lost an inch in my abdomen, 1/4 of an inch in my hips
gained 1/2 inch in thigh, gained 3/4 inch in my arms, and 1/2 inch in my neck
according to a formula (not a machine) I lost 9.87% body fat
I also put in 8.92 miles this week (about to add two more).
This week I worked out four days, I am going to add today as a fifth day.
My eating was off this week by a lot, I only stayed within my range 2 days this week, when I ate within my range 5 days last week.
I am very disappointed in my eating this week , but I will improve it next week. It seems my weight has dispersed differently this week. I lost weight in some areas and gained it in others so I really don't know how to figure out this weeks weight loss. But according to the formula that I have been using I lost over 9% of my body fat because of where I lost.
Does anyone have an explanation for this weight difference? It could be just where and how I measured, but I don't know. I am pretty sure I measure the same spots the same way.
