Got that. I think similarly when I'm out on a bike. Yeah, I'm overweight, but anyone being critical doesn't know where I started. Keep going! Thanks!

on a plateau....

Sunday, June 03, 2012

I am on a weight loss plateau. I have been @ my current weight for a while and it doesn't budge. So I guess , I will try to fit more exercise in. My goals for this month:

1. Will do more cardio exercises

2. Will loose 4 lbs

3. Have more protein in my diet

Some days it is just hard to get motivated, but once I start moving , I am good to go. But now I am training for a 5k walk, and after I master that , i will work on starting a running program. My oldest son is excited about it, he wants me to run with him in a marathon. He ran in a Mud Run yesterday. It looked like a lot of fun.

I agree that if you aren't liking the results that you are/aren't seeing then the only way it'll change is if you make changes. Doing the same thing expecting different results is the definition of insanity. Bumping up the number of calories burned and taking a look at how your food ranges are being distributed sounds like a great start. You can do it! That picture of your son is too cute! Looks like they had a blast.

I hate it when I hit a plateau. You are doing all the right things though. Just keep it going. Jackie emoticon

May we all never take lightly the costs that was given in the name of our American rights & freedoms. Our military deserve to be thanked & appreciated every day, they sacrifice what so many others are unwilling to do.
Happy Memorial Day. emoticon

Yes, this is what Memorial Day is all about! I will be visiting my Dad's gravesite at the Veteran's cemetery later today. He did not die in service, but he did serve in the army during Vietnam and I am so proud! I am thankful for those who served and died, but also those who are serving or have served to give us our freedom! I know you are the proud mother of 2 sailors and you should be! Enjoy your family today!

Each day we take our freedom for granted. I remember standing at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and watched as a wreath was presented and the guard was changed. It was the most moving experience of my life. Life is so very precious and these men and women risk that precious life for the whole of the country.

We have no right to ever forget that sacrifice.

Nice quiet Sunday morning, husband and children in church. Got some me time. Worked out on Wii fit plus and 10 solution. Feeling pretty good.
Bought a new bathing suit yesterday...2 sizes smaller than the old old. It is getting kinda fun to shop for smaller clothes. And eating right seems to be our way of life. My 14 year old son lost about 10 lbs and my husband 21. My husbands bloodsugars are under control for the first time in a long time. My family knows that we won't buy any junk food and too many processed foods. They actually like it, now that I buy a lot of fruits and vegetables, and the kids are not asking for soda , candy or cookies all time. Once in a while we have a little candy, but not in the quantities that we used to.
So all in all we are doing good, going to the pool several times a week to swim and walk. Now I would like to get us all bikes, so we can hit all these nice trails around here. But everything in due time.
