This weekend I decided to chill out a little. Today my daughter ( she is 11) and I are going to watch the entire Twilight series, just us girls . She is my biggest fan. It is going to be fun, the guys are painting my father-in-laws house.
Made Chef Meg's not so southern style biscuits and gravy, it came out alright, but had to tweak the spices a little. Tonight we will have Puerto Rican and beans, with a few healthy changes. I have been getting more adventurous with my cooking and substitutions. I am using more and more vegetables and less meat. The only meat we have is either chicken, fish and sometimes a Hamburger or Hot Dog. This is really a good life style change and it is getting so much easier. My husband loves it, because it helps him to control his Diabetes better.
Next week , I am getting us a annual membership to the pool here, so we will be exercising in water more. They also offer water aerobics and I will check that out.

Weigh in day today, down to 278.2lbs, BMI of 44.71. Not bad considering I started out at 300 lbs and a BMI of 48. Go me.
It is getting easier and a habit to eat and track . I am exercising more on my Wii fit plus, knee permitting. Bought me a new program as reward. EA Personal Trainer. Will start on that tomorrow.On my Wii fit Island bicyling , I moved up to advanced level, but I got lost trying to find all the flags. So I ended up doing 7.5 miles.
I quit my full time job, because it was still too much , too soon. So now I will look for something part-time. It just sucks to get old and have bad knees. especially as a Nurse , who has to be able to run all shift.
I just love trying out all new recipes from the Spark Cookbook and the Spark recipe website. My kids are learning to eat healthier and my husband lost 17 lbs and his Diabetes is under better control. I keep telling every one , it's not a diet, it's a life style change and I love it.
I keep spreading the Spark.....
And thanks to all my Spark Friends , who support and keep cheering me on, you guys are great and I love you all.

had to call in sick today, because my knee is swollen and I am having a lot of pain. Maybe it was not a good idea to start working so soon after surgery. My surgeon wanted me to wait at least another month before going back. But I didn't listen.
Wednesday I have an interview with the local hospice here. It would be an easier job, so I will see how it goes.
But on a good note, I have lost 20lbs so far . It is getting easier to stick with my eating plan, which involves a lot of veggies and fruits.

Well, 2 days down @ work had to work 2 days on day shift to get to know the place and all the paperwork that goes with it. tomorrow and Thursday it's swing shift and then I will finally make to night shift on Saturday. My body feels tired, just not used to working anymore.
Went to doctor yesterday and he said my knee looks good and warned me not to overdo it. He also asked ,when I want to do the other leg. Not yet, maybe wait a year.
Looking forward to one of my sons coming home @ the end of this month. He is really a mama's boy. But it will be good to have him home , before he starts his submarine duty. He really turned into a nice young man.
