On my journey to a healthier and slimmer life I have learned so much. I always tell people it is not a diet, but a life style change. I still have a candy bar or Donut once in a while , and they are always telling me , I shouldn't eat that, because it is bad for me. But I tell them , that I won't deprive myself and add these things to my calorie total.
I also learned to shop better,so it will not kill my grocery bill. I found that Save-a-lot has a lot of healthy foods for a reasonable price and I buy my produce at a local fruit stand. I got to know the owner very well and she always gives me special deals.
I am not drinking soda pop anymore, now I drink seltzer water with a little crystal light for flavor. It is working pretty good for me. I even tried turkey bacon, they had it on sale @ Save-a-lot for $1 per package. It is awesome.
The best thing that has happened with my life style change , is that my husband's diabetes is under control and his medications got decreased and he is doing great with his food.
This is what he fixed me for breakfast this morning.
