Just a little update... have been working a lot lately, just got off a 16 hour shift yesterday evening. It jusy feels great to get out of the house and do what you love to do. Well, and the paycheck is not bad either....lol.
My knee is holding up pretty good, just get a little tired and sore @ the end of the shift...but getting plenty of walking in .....

My journey to weight loss and a happier healthier life started in January 2012. I was on medical leave for a bad knee,which required surgery . I weighed in @ 300 lbs and I was not happy with myself and I knew that I had to change the way I eat and live, if I wanted to get slimmer and healthier. My doctor told me to loose weight and offered to give me some pills to help. But I turned him down , because I know that it is only a temporary fix.
Starting Spark people was the best thing I ever done. It holds me accountable for my actions. I know I have to track my food every day, so I don't get side tracked. Some of my friends think I getting obsessed with tracking, but I don't let it bother me, because I am doing this for myself .
Here are some comparisons to my weight loss journey.
300lbs -my beginning weight
My weight now 270lbs
And this will be my goal 200lbs
I am going from a big fat catfish to a sleek pretty fish.
But the journey is not over yet.
