Wow, what a busy week it ended up being! Wednesday was somewhat normal, with the exception of the Ash Wednesday service that evening. Thursday I had work in the morning, practice with the JH Band and HS Choir in Adair and then was home for the rest of the day. I had to keep reminding myself that it was Thursday. Can't figure that one out! Friday was busy, but not stressful busy. Grocery shopping in the morning, practice at Adair-Casey again, massage in the afternoon and we had our Church directory pictures in the evening (that's a whole long story that I won't go into). Whew! Yesterday worked out even though I felt like I was rushed to get Jacob from one place to another. He got 2-1/2 hours of basketball playing in. I think that he was in heaven! The Bowling thing went well. She hands out the trophies first. Jacob cleaned up for his group - his team got 2nd place, plus he received a trophy for High Series, High Average, and Most Improved Average. Matthew's team in his group also placed 2nd. Then we got to enjoy some Casey's pizza (I still think that pizza is evil - but I do love it so!!). Then it was home! Whew!
Today has been much calmer even with the time change. Church this morning and Praise team practice tonight. Mike and the boys will head out for Scout meetings in about an hour.
So, my eating this past week has been up and down. Not necessarily horrible, but portions really could be better. Afternoons are my tough time. I need to make a plan!
Fitness has been great. Still trying out new Jessica Smith workouts and loving them!
I am making progress on my magazine stack. I still can't believe that I have a James Patterson book that I haven't finished yet. That's not normal for me!
Hope that everyone has had a great weekend!

It was actually a normal Tuesday for a change! I started the day with my Jessica Smith workout (this morning was Belly, Buns & Thigh Walk), and had my healthy breakfast. Then it was off to work. I didn't have a lot to do, but enough to keep me busy and for some reason the phone kept ringing this morning. After I left the church, I had a few errands to run and then it was home for the day. Everybody was home after work and school and nothing happening tonight! Woo hoo!!
I am laughing though. This Saturday is Jacob's last day of Basketball camp at the fitness center. Well, he brought home a sheet from school for a camp that will be at the high school for three weeks (starting this Saturday and it's free!). Coach B and the boys team lead it. So, he gets a few more weeks of basketball! It will make it a little crazy this Saturday, but it should work... 8:30-9:30 at the fitness center, then rush to the HS - 9:30-11:00 basketball camp at the school and then rush across the parking lot to the elementary school for the Bowling Awards/Party! Whew! At least the fitness center isn't too far from the school!
So, back to my day. Nutrition has been better. Yesterday was kind of like Sunday, where I over-indulged, but did try to track everything. Note the word "try". Today was better. I should go brush my teeth....
That's pretty much it for now. We are starting to slowly warm up. A big chunk of the snow melted today, even though it didn't get above freezing. It was just nice to see the sun! Hoping the trend continues!

Boy, it is cold today!! The boys had a late start, but now I am enjoying a quiet, peaceful house!
Overall, yesterday wasn't too bad. My eating wasn't the best, but I did track every bite! Fitness was a rest day. I did also get some reading time.
Not a lot on my agenda for today. Just some laundry and cleaning, but it will be nice and quiet! Woo hoo!!
Have a great day!

For a Saturday, yesterday was the longest day! We kept Jacob home from Basketball camp, even though he was feeling better. Luckily Clover Kids was cancelled, so he didn't miss out on that. Mike and Matthew headed in to the church to do some stuff, so it was just Jacob and me for a big chunk of the day. Once they got home, I thought that I would get a break, but no. So my mood for the afternoon was horrible. Jacob has been home since Wednesday and with the exception of going to work for a few hours and grocery shopping for an hour I haven't had a break from family. I love my family, don't get me wrong, but I need my "me time" to reenergize.
Anyway, I thought that I would get a few hours this afternoon because Matthew has 4-H and Jacob was supposed to have Scouts, but now Jacob is going to stay home. He got a little crazy after church this morning, so he's not feeling the best right now. Mike called Mike (yes, Jacob's den leader's name is Mike, too) and found out that he was thinking about canceling anyway because of the cold. So, no break for mommy today either. We don't even have Praise team practice tonight because there is a visitation at the church this afternoon. Hopefully tomorrow!!!!!!
As for goals, yesterday went really well with my eating. I measured, weighed and tracked everything and even allowed myself a treat. So proud of myself. I brushed my teeth after supper to keep from snacking. Fitness went well too. I did 3 Jessica Smith strength workouts, so I'm feeling it today. I did get some reading in as well.
I'm just ready for spring to get here. I'm so tired of being cold! Have a great Sunday!

Well, February was an off month. The scale didn't really move and a few measurements were up. I think that I've been dealing with a lot of water retention. It's frustrating, but I know that I need to get my eating back under control. Workouts have been great, but my snacking hasn't been the best. I start off strong with breakfast (measuring and weighing), but as the day goes on I just "eyeball" it, or just eat whatever and only track a portion, even if it's more.
So, starting today - the scale and measuring tools will get a workout!
Here are my March goals:
1. Nutrition: measure everything. Track every bite and nibble!
2. Fitness: I'm going to stick with Jessica Smith workouts - either her weekly schedule on her website or my DVDs. I may throw a few other things in if time allows.
3. Personal: less computer time and more reading. Most days I do okay, but I have days where it seems like I am on the computer all day.
It's going to be a cold and snowy day in Iowa! So ready for Spring! Have a great weekend!
